3.21 vs 3.73 for 2012 JKU Sport

Hello,

I am looking at getting a new automatic 2012 JKU sport tomorrow, how big of a deal is the 3.21 vs 3.73. If I am using stock tires and this is a daily driver, does the 3.73 offer that much more accerleration? Are the springs and shocks noticeable better?

Thanks.

The springs, shocks comment is from something someone said in another post about how the max tow package has upgraded springs and shocks. So if the question was 3.21 vs Max Tow package, and I don't anticipate towing anything, should I get it for the grearing and the better springs and shocks?

The Maxi Tow also includes the Trailer Sway Program I believe. If you ever plan to Tow that would be worth it.
Get the 3.73, just better use of the power.

3.21's don't belong in a jeep IMO

I don't get why they even make them. Let's say you're the guy who really could get away with the 3.21's. At some point you're probably going to want to sell the Jeep to the next guy, and the next guy ... doesn't want 3.21's.

Dont worry about the next guy, buy what you want. I have JKUR and I drive 95% on road. If you drive 100% on road, and are not going to carry heavy load, then 3.21 with new 5 speed auto will work fine, and you will get the best mpg.

Resale dude. Maybe the trade-in value won't be a big deal but it would be tougher to unload yourself with 3.21's.

3.73...once you get a Jeep, you will want bigger tires, a lift!! you might not admit it now, but you will get all these mods later
