3.73 Axle now included with Auto Trans?

Hey did Jeep make a change and are now including the 3.73 axle with the Automatic Transmission? Was looking at the American Express New Car Purchase Program site and it shows the 3.73 is included. I also noticed on Window Stickers of inbound Jeeps, the 3.73 is now included under the Automatic Transmission and these are 2012 Wranglers.

On the 2012 it's a crapshoot. According to the window stickers I've seen, some get 3.73s with the tow package, some get them with the auto, other don't get them with either. Strange.

I'm not sure on the other models, but the 2012 Rubicon comes standard with 3.73 gears when you select the Auto. The standard transmission has 4.10 gears. If you want the 4.10 gears on an Auto, you have to add them as an option.

I test drove a Sport last Friday that was an automatic and it had the 3.21

I too was under the impression that all automatics came with the 3.73 but I guess not

For the Rubicon I thought all came 4.10 and the 3.73 was an option
