Question 3.8 to 3.8 swap anyone tried this?

I have an 07 with the 3.8 that started to make lifter noises around 60k. I went to get parts for the repair and ended up getting a great deal on a new engine with tranny still married up. I was thinking that i could just take the old motor and tranny out and place the new ones right in. Is it possiable to leave the tranny attatched to the motor and pull them out together?

You can definitely put an engine and tranny in together. It might be the kind of thing that you might want to bring it to a professional's shop

Its possible to take them out together..usually takes a little finesse, but the JK has lots of room under the hood.
