35" tires. To big? Pictures please

I ordered new wheels and 35" tires. Waiting on the lift to get here. I went by the tire shop to see them and they are huge. Not to late to reorder because they are not yet mounted. I realize I will have to regear soon. I have a 2011 black unlimited rubicon. Show me some pictures!!!!

They aren't that big, just looks that way when you have been used to the standard size. Won't be long before you re-gear though, mine's the silver JK in front of a standard LK & I have 4.5" of lift

or this is a better one so you can see closer

35s aren't too big, and with the Rubi 4.10s I don't feel the need to re-gear yet.

Love that look with the flat fenders.
What wheels and backspace?

I have been looking for a pic of what i want my Jeep to look like, and yours with the 33's is the closest I have found!

35s are prefect for a JKU, cut the fenders or run flat/tube fenders and a minor lift, aka 2in spacers and call it a day.

Here's my 2011 Sahara JKU with 35's and a 2.5" Teraflex Budget Lift (spacers only). Looks great, rides fine and I'm not itching for a re-gear.

35s are perfect for a JKU with 2-3" of lift
33s are perfect for a JK with 1-2.5" of lift

Carry on.

I went with 33's and hated every minute of it. Switched to 35's and I'm much happier. As far as too big? All I've got is a Terraflex leveling kit and get get some MINOR rubbing on the underside of the front fenders at full stuff.

Here's my 2011 on 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers with a Rusty's 3.25" lift. The rims are pro comp 7031s 18X9 with 5" BS. Just regeared to 4.88s and wow what a difference!! Money well spent.

Any issues with rubbing? I thought with the 2.5" lift you could only run 33's.

If you get flat fenders (or chop the stockers), you can run 35's with a leveling kit (2" front/1" rear). You will need to trim the pinch seam too. By far the least expensive way to run and wheel with 35's.

And and and . . . It's not the just height of the tires and the jeep but the WIDTH of tires that must be accounted for with rubbing. Even with a 5" lift, you'd rub every time you turned if you put 33s on your stock wheels without spacers.

By contrast, you could run 33s with no lift at all if you got wheels with 4.5" of backspacing. You might rub a little offroad when you "stuff" a tire up into your wheel well (especially if you disconnected your sway links), but that'd be it.

Just a point of clarification.
