3rd Row Car seats-who has?

At some point I'll be going with the 3rd row on my JKU but I haven't seen any in person. I know there is limited leg room but I am more concerned with wether there is enough room to fit car seats back there. They also don't come with the "latch" system but are offered with a "tether" which I believe is the bar on the back of the seat for the back strap of the car seat. Has anybody put car seats in their JKU 3rd row?

Really is no way to make this thread less lame...

Missed the point of your post at first... thought it was a redirect to help answer the question. Yikes you are right. A lot of hatered in that thread. I would rather read through 10 "why didn't this guy wave?" threads then struggle through that hyper opinionated your kids will die because you don't love them and you should buy a minivan responses.

Please I can make my own choices on what I subject my kids to so leave the legal and saftey banter out of this one. I just want to know if someone that has the littlepassengers 3rd row has put a car seat in. Thanks

The Little Passenger Seats will not accept car seats in my experience. They are truly little seats, and are made for passengers who are around the ages of 4 and up. The seats are just not deep enough to hold a booster seat or a 3 pt harness seat adequately. I only have experience with the jump seats, but according to their website none of their seats work with car seats. Put the car seats in the 2nd row and have your older kids sit in the 3rd row.

Gotcha, I asked the little passengers rep (obviously they have sales objectives) about carseats and she said several customers use them with no problem. But as you stated most people report that they are small. Wondering about using small profile car seats in the rear and using the 40 middle row seat for a larger one. We have a minivan on the way so this is just for little trail rides here and there. My kids are close in age so for a while we will be in three car seats.

Teraflex has bracket that allows you to mount a JK two door rear seat as a third row in a JKU. The seat can still fold and tumble or you can take it out. You are on your own with seat belt mounting. I like this option because it uses the factory seat. I have not tried it, just noticed the brackets on their site.

I thought about the Teraflex before I went with the little passenger seat as well. I found that the Teraflex setup made the 3rd row seat sit up way high, thus almost blocking the rear view completely and sticking the seats up out of the roll cage. I like the Little Passenger seats because they can mount forwards or backwards, plus the jump seats fold up nicely when not in use. To each his own my friends!

How many passengers are you needing to carry? You can fit three carseats across the stock rear seat in a JKU if it helps.

Really? Are they really slim car seats? With two car seats in there it looks like there is no way I could get another in. If that was the case I would completely forgo the 3rd row option.

Sunshine Kids Radians, like these: (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000G7YM0Q).

Do some searching for online resources for parents of triplets, as they run into this issue a lot.

But yes, they'll fit. You loosen the two on the ends just a bit to squeeze in the center seat, and then tighten them all down. Rock solid and no problems.

I had a booster seat, an infant car seat, and a forward facing car set for 20-40# kids all in my back seat. It was tight, but I think the non-infants were able to buckle their own seats if I remember correctly. This was in a JKU just for the record.

I did my own and posted a DIY thread on it. FAR BETTER than any "little seats" versions. And at less than half the cost too.
