That's a blower baby.
Now I need one for my pitiful little 4 banger and in a price I can afford.

The only thing is, the more power you vehicle makes, it would be easier for it to get up and moving to speed easier, being more fuel efficient. But when you add something like a supercharger that is forcing more air into the motor, you need more fuel to level it out or you'll be running too lean and not making any power.

AzTJ said it more air means more fuel.. which means worse mpg not "9 mpg improvement"...

Hmm, strange. I yanked a Chevy 350 out of an old motorhome and stuck in a slightly massaged 396 big block. my mpg went up considerably. I no longer had to stand on the throttle to go someplace.
There's nice balance between power, weight and resistance, Jeep has always been far from that sweet spot.
9mpg increase is quite a bit but I wouldn't automatically discount it.

Well, I will let everyone know how it actually is. I will be testing and doing an install write up in a few weeks on the Ripp Supercharger. watch for the pics. For the record, RIPP is making a fuel control box that uses an aditional injector to control the fuel/air mixture under boost conditions. It will also be mounting on the pasenger side and also include a battery relocation kit to move the battery forward and place the supercharger up high. One of the main things with this SDS system is that they are making it happen IN A CHECK ENGINE FREE ENVIROMENT!!! That means that all of the OBDII Sensors retain thier function and it will keep the JK computer happy, which means it will get a CARB approval. There are a few of the Superchargers out for the JK in development right now, but they cant ditch that check engine light. A few of them are also using the Uni-Chip, which is why they have a CEL. Keep your eyes peeled for the install pics...... Gotta get Hackle's done FIRST.
