430N Navigation Background Theme Color

My 2013 has the 430n with Garmin Nav. How do you change the map background color?

I am going into the "map theme" and changing from the Garmin theme to other themes, but no matter which theme I choose the color remains the same.

Thanks for the help

Greg

Same thing here for a 2014 Rubicon with a 430.

The colors are all yellowish and really hard to see.

Same here. Hard to see during the day partly due to the chosen colors and also due to the simulated 3D effect as the roads vanish over the simulated horizon.

At night the color scheme is much better. I wish there was a way to force it to the night scheme all the time other than running with your lights on all the time.

Not sure if it's an option on the 430, but on the 730 I can set it to auto, or force it into daytime or nighttime mode in the settings menu.

Daylight or night, the 430N map colors suck. Garmin should offer some reasonable choices.
