430N USB Drive with Folders - Random Play All Tracks

I have the 430N radio in my JK, and I have several USB sticks that have music on them. They are grouped in folders (top folder is Artist name, subfolder(s) is album name by that artist). I can't see the "All Tracks" option if I navigate up to the top folder. I want to basically enter random play mode for all tracks on the USB stick. Is this possible?

I couldn't get my 430 to read separate folders on the memory stick, instead I deleted the folders so it could find all the music and then pushed it to the hard drive. I had the 730N on a previous vehicle so far I am happy with the 430 N

Another Option

You can also put all your music on a iPod. Then set up playlists on the iPod. Plug the iPod into your console USB port. Your radio will play any playlist you select and you can tell the radio to play random.

Thanks guys... So, the iPod is completely controllable from the head unit? I don't have to do anything on the iPod to be able to shuffle tracks or play a complete album? That might be a good solution then...

Yes, the iPod is completely controllable from the HU. After you have made several playlists on your iPod, do the following:
  • Plug iPod into USB port in center console
  • Turn on Radio.
  • Hit the Disc Aux button - it might say reading if you just started the Jeep.
  • Hit the List button
  • Turn the right scroll to Playlists and push in the right scroll knob
  • Scroll to the playlist you want and push in the right scroll knob
  • Push the Set RND button for random playing if you want it to play randomly.

Ok I have a question. Who ever had my jeep before me ( seems to have been a girl) has saved music to the hard drive in the head unit. My question is first she had bad taste in music so I need to figure out how to delete that crap and figure out how or if I can put music from my phone or iPad to download to the hard drive in the hu?

I have a 2011 rubicon unlimited with the nav and everything

I dont remember exactly without going out and re-finding it. I think you just hit the button for "My files" or whatever it is on the right side where you can see the pictures you uploaded and whatnot, then from there you can go in a delete stuff from the drive.

Sorry not more helpful, but I dont have the Jeep here.
