Even if I were wealthy I would be a little miffed over $500, not sure how much money one has to have where $500 no big deal. I know I am not close to it.

Is the dealer compensated for using this coupon like they are with the affiliates program?

I do believe that the dealer is compensated from Jeep for the coupon.

Not sure how you calculate your interest, but 10% at a 4 year term would be about $608 for that $500.

Just sayin'.

I got the "golden ticket" in January, expired on March 31. I ordered in early June. I literally requested 30+ brochures after the first bonus cash expired, and called Jeep incentives weekly to check on it both during, and after the build.

No luck there.

I didn't finance. I saved long and hard, traded in my Liberty, and wrote a check for the difference.

I would rather have that $500 in my pocket (which I did get).

The coupon has no financial bearing whatsoever on the dealer. It is strictly between the factory and the customer that has the coupon.

I just received 2 brochures today for a total of 3 brochures this past month. No coupon in any of them.

So now you are paying $550 over what you could have with the coupon. One could have used that $500 for an option that was otherwise outside the budget. $500 is not pennies unless you are buying a Ferrari or Bentley.

I never received a coupon- but then, I never sent away for a brochure.
I doubt there's a conspiracy- the people who handle the coupons are most likely not aware of who purchased (or intends to purchase) a Wrangler.

The coupons may also be tied to market areas- if you are in an area in which Jeep has a strong penetration, than you are not as likely to receive an offer. This is why most rebate sites ask for your zip code.

Note to self: I will seek out a coupon if we add yet another Jeep product to the stable.

Here's the odd thing... Coupon or not.

I started shopping for my Jeep in June. One of the first things I did was request the brochure, because dealers don't stock them anymore. When making the request, it asked how long until I think I will be in the market for a purchase... I put down 1 month or less.

A week later, I assumed something went wrong on the site because I never got the brochure... So I requested it again... Then again a third time a week later.

It is now July 26 and I have not received any brochures. If there is a coupon inside, it will arrive long after its usefulness ends. The brochure itself will no longer be useful, except as a keepsake.

When a prospect asks for product information, that's the time to send it. Other than the conspiracy theory of keeping us from using the coupon, the only other excuse I can see for them not at least sending brochures in a timely manor is that they are out of 2013 brochures, and they still haven't kicked off their 2014 promotions. Not even on the web site... Which is odd, considering 2014s are rolling off the production line.

When I decided I was getting a wrangler last year I requested a 2013 brochure and never did get one. I swear it was several months after I bought my 2013 wrangler I got a 2012 brochure. Never did get the 13. I think Chrysler needs to get on the ball with their marketing division. I am interested in getting a new Rubicon but for me $500 extra off might be the deal breaker more for the principal of the deal more then anything else.

same exact everything with me.... i also started to look at jeeps around june maybe a little before. when someone posted in the 2014 info thread about getting that coupon, i immediately sent for the brochure. i waited for 3 weeks or so and my father got one because i sent for one in his name. we received the brochure yet never got the coupon...

i'll find it safe to say that JEEP is reading this and possibly has stopped because we all caught wind of the $500 dollar coupon.

I don't think so as a year ago there was similar threads. The certificates were doled out randomly last year as well.

I just got ANOTHER $1000 coupon in the mail. 7 weeks AFTER I bought my 2013. They must have screwed up when they sent me the first one BEFORE I bought the Jeep. lol!

Did you all ask your dealer if there's anything tied to your name? I did, they checked and I have one but it expires sept. 30...here's hoping my order comes in soon, but it's still in D

I'll tell you we have honored those coupons after the fact at our store. Just demand to re-do paperwork because sales contract has to match rebates given or Chrysler can charge a dealer back.
