After monthes of silent research I am pulling the trigger on Sunday. I will belong to the Rubi Riders.
The dealer says I'll get $500 mopar bucks.
As I understand it I'll get a little shopping spree in the parts department.
So may question is what do I make as my first "flarkle"?
A little background.
Buying:
2010 Rubicon, Hardtop, Auto, 24R package, And Tow package and bla bla bla.
Use: Daily driver and some fun in the dirt.
My off road experience: First 4x4 was 1985 toyota pick just after high school. played and went through two transmissions and finally did less 4x4 and more ATV stuff. Mostly adventure (dual sport bike) stuff... But plan to play off road more in the jeep.
My first thought was a front bumper or winch ...
ok, part of a winch ...
I thought more experienced jeepers might provide some insight here.
If you were buying a new Rubi, what would you spend $500 mopar bucks on first?
Well cograts! Im newbie too. Suppose to get today.
Have been thru the Jeep store yet? There is a link to it in another thread of mine. Pretty nice stuff! They have Warn wenches. See if your dealer has the Jeep Wrangler Accessoreis flyer.

Wow, that's a good deal if you can use that toward a wench. I'd probably regret not getting something for the Jeep right after though, but you should get a half way decent one for $500.:rofl::rofl:
I bought my Rubi about 2 weeks ago and just ordered all my parts the other day. They all came in and I have them already. Just make sure you do it with in the 30 day time frame and make sure you understand the if you have any cash left over you need to wait another 30 days before you can use it. Here is what I bought and I had about 70 bucks left over.
rear rubber cargo mat
slush floor mats
black tail light covers
Black gas cap cover
1. Garmin Nuvi 1490T
2. Brushed Steel door seal.
3. Sahara side steps. I really love these, best look of any side steps I have seen. oem too nice job Jeep.
4. Extented center arm rest. Looks like a nice idea. stock postion isnt bad at all thou.
5. Grab handles, with rear coat hanger.
This was with the extra jeep cash thrown my way.
Also ordered was the oem sunrider soft top. This was part of the deal.
The dealer should be able to hook you up. I just picked up my Unlimited Mountain Edition on Monday and they gave me a form. The dealer's Mopar parts guy called me the next day to tell me to just email him the completed form from the online catalog. The Wrangler was a present from my wife since she knew I wanted one. I married well.
If you bought the NEW wranglers last month in May you get $500 Mopar bucks. You will want to contact the person who did the F&I (Business Manager) and parts manager. You will have to sign paperwork saying you know you have 30 days to spend the money.
There are a lot of sale people that did not even know about it so if you bought one it might have just been an oversight but I would call them asap to get your stuff ordered.
With the mopar bucks I got the u connect with ipod interface control. I would die with out my ipod since radio doesn't play the music I'm into. Sirius Xm plays it but not some of the bands I'm into.
It's the same to you, but not to them.
If they give you 500 bucks off.. they lose 500 bucks
If they give you 500 worth of product, they only pay cost. What might cost you 500 to buy, would only cost them say 250. Then they only lose 250.
Just got back from the dealer. Had to pick up my registration. I asked about the Mopar bucks and they said I should have been given a form with all my paper work. I told them I was certain that I did not have it and 10 minutes later I was in the parts department ordering some things (Snowboard rack, mirror brackets, speakers, slush mats). I believe the limit is 30 days from purchase, so take advantage if you are within that time frame.
I'm also hearing you HAVE to get everything installed in their service department. No one works on my Jeep but me. If they insist, then they will be keeping their parts and ill be thinking about that during my dealership review.
Ordered:
hitch receiver plug
cargo tote
light bar
door sill guard
cargo area tray
fuel filler door
front air deflector
That is not true. You are entitled to use the $500 towards installation, but you are not required to have them install anything. I'm not having them install my speakers or anything else.
Center console and glove box are pretty easy to pop off using a simple screwdriver (speaking from experience)
Tuffy makes center console and glove box door and are good choice (I personally prefer the center console)
