Hi all : I just wanted to share this information ...
I was detailing the Jeep and the front fender was loose upper aft area, they have at least on 2010 models , plastic nuts qty 1 each side.
So I checked missing 1, and 1 was about to fall off.
I went to the Dealer and low and behold they up graded to steel ,I got 2 the part # is 1-06509889AA NUT $6.32 ea.( It looks like a bolt without threads ,threads are on the inside )
I just though I would pass this on ,as these plastic ones strip or just plane fall off.. nothing worse than a raddle on a new vehicle...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all

Thanks for sharing. I got my jeep last december and noticed it right off too. Ive got mine replaced for no charge so maybe some others will get that lucky too.
Merry Christmas

Mine sounds more like a dull thud only on the drivers side. Almost sounds like its in the middle of the two doors inside somewhere. I have no clue, but I'll take a look. :surrender:
I did however correct my front track bar today. Now I'm only off 3/16". I think I'm happy with that.

Are you talking about the inner guard and bolt that goes straight up? If so, there was a TSB to replace these with a steel bolt as the plastic ones were falling out. I think it was a 2010 only issue? I though I had a pic but cant find it and am 7 hours away from home at the moment...

Yes that is the NUT .... I would get a picture ,but my wife works til after dark ,so that won't work ....
Should of checked into TSB first ,but 13.00 $ ,not to bad ...I ordered the bike rack when I was there ...Got it for less than E Bay price..
I had all my door seals and rear window seals replaced on a TSB
The passenger A piller was leaking ,replaced both driver ,passenger and rear window door seal's ....So if your JK leaks and under warranty ,go see your dealer ...
Happy Motoring
I have an 07. If it is the bolt top left and the only one visible mine is metal also. My right side front was half out. I tightened the
crap out of it but the fender still bounced around.
Sorry, nut, you are correct - it does look like a bolt from the outside And yes there is still movement, mine can lift up down a good 1/4 inch on the shaft off the nut (for those who havent seen on is looks like the head of a bolt, but instead of the threaded section it has a tube with the thread on the inside).
As for the leak! Have so far had the header replaced, the door seal replaced, door adjusted, the only thing they havent done is replace the seal in top corner above the A pillar like I asked them to do in the first place!
