Since my last update (shop foreman re-mapped AC control module) I have used the AC about a half dozen times. Have not experienced this issue so time will tell.

Bringing mine in for this thursday (in addition to other issues). it went from never happening, to every time I drive it. Seems like a bug that only reared it's head after 5000 miles.

I'll mention this, thanks. Not that they listen.

No cutoffs since the first one so now I'm turning recirc off and starting jeep with a/c only on without recirculation. Thinking maybe the system will send signal if recirc is on at start up otherwise how would it know if you had defrost or vent on or whatever ...... We'll see.

i never use recirc and it happens to me. dealer says that can't do anything about it because it's not repeatable.

There goes my the theory : head shaking: you know I was thinking that if a dealer tells me that what would I say. Well it's obviously a computer or electrical problem. So if the dealer actually heard the fan stop what would he do...... So in conclusion I think I would say the following..
"Hi Mr. Dealer, pretend you were sitting in the jeep with the ac on and it stops for 4 seconds and then comes right back on. Now trouble shoot you goof ball!"

It has happened in my 2013 twice this week alone. I have 900 miles on it. Never even touched the recirc button before, so I know recirc isn't the issue for me at least.

Yeah, same here, mine does it whether recirc is on or off as well. It's up to two to four times a week on mine now.

I mentioned it to my dealer and they're willing to keep my Jeep for several days if necessary to try to reproduce the issue, but they refuse to provide a loaner or rental in the interim, and since this is my daily driver I can't just not have a vehicle for some unknown number of days. It looks like I'll just have to live with it.

Hopefully one of you guys will have some luck with your dealer and will come across the solution.

Yep, picked up my 2013 Rubi 2 weeks ago and have experienced the same problem twice, BUT with a twist. Last Thursday the weather cooled down to about 60 degrees so I set the HVAC to vent for outside air as there was no need for A/C. Well...about 5min later it blew ice cold air and the A/C was off. This has happened three times within 2 days! The last two times I hit the a/c button on and off and it went back to blowing outside air?

Not exactly happy here! I just finished replacing the entire a/c system in 05 Rubi myself so I'm a lil tired of a/c problems!

Update: Was using the AC today and it happened again.
First time since the AC module was re-mapped a few weeks ago. Blower on high, recirc off. Driving along and poof the blower motor completely shut down for 4-5 seconds and then came back on like nothing happened.

I have not had another cut off yet but let's keep posted our incidents and maybe one of us will get lucky at the dealer. The more info we have the better.

The shop foreman at my dealer has been more than understanding. Three visits and no service charges. I didn't get the "we can't do anything unless it does it while you have the Jeep here" responses. No codes were stored and Chrysler engineering claims they have no clue.

Jeep will probably come up with a fix this winter when we aren't using the AC. LOL

I'm not even concerned about mine anymore. I know if it happens that it will come right back on again like it always does. Although I can't prove it, I am convinced that this is happening for a reason. The interval (3-4 sec) that it is off is just too consistent, and although unpredictable when it will happen, the same interval from vehicle to vehicle.

+1. I haven't even heard any convincing evidence that this is actually a "problem," meaning it's indicative of some kind of serious failure. It's barely even an inconvenience IMO, and certainly not a problem...

My '13 had done it 4 times so far, but comes back on right away. The closest dealer is 110 miles away, so I won't be having it looked at unless I have some other more important issue. It is cooling down now too, so I won't need the A/C as much either.
If that is my biggest problem with my Jeep, I will be very thankful.
Will be monitoring this thread to see if there is a real solution.

I did get called by Jeep for a survey recently, and I told the guy about the problem too

2012 JKUR did it for the first time when I was 400mi from home. I was thinking...oh $h_t this will be a long ride home! But like everyone else...3-5sec...back on. Has not done it again.

Mine started to do it on my '12 Rubicon after visit in the dealership for replaceing all the windows regulators which makes me to think that if they disconnected the battery and reconnected it back it lead the computer to confuse somewhat

Did anyone tried to disconnect the battery?

+1 on the A/C problem. Blower motor shuts down for a few seconds and A/C light goes dark for the same time period, then everything goes back to normal. Has happened to me twice.

+1 on the dealer not being able to reproduce the problem and fixing nothing.

I'm beginning to think that Microsoft has written the code that runs the vehicle and this is Jeep's own version of the BSOD.

I may be late to the discussion, but I have had a similar problem. I'm in a 2000 TJ Sport, and only a few days after I bought it used the AC quit blowing. I could still feel cold seeping out of the vents, but the blower would not blow at any speed setting. I thought it was a blown blower resistor, because we had a similar situation with my wife's minivan. I went to O'Reilly's and bought a new part, and seriously, as I walk out of the store, and turn the jeep on, the AC starts blowing again. I searched all over to find out what might be causing this, and found these two videos that were a hug help to me. They refer to the heater, but its the same blower. Turns out it was a loose connection to the blower motor. Since then, when it happens, I just open the hood, jiggle the connection and the blower kicks on every time. Not a permanent solution, but it works for now. Anyways, hope these help.

My blower shut off today for about a minute with the AC on... Must be a "feature"... I will try to pay attention to what lights go on and off next time...

I have had the same issue since I bought it in July, same as described by everyone else. Hasn't been doing it now that its been cool and I'm not using A/C everyday. Issue is there though.

Different issue for the JK. It shuts off for a few seconds, then comes back on. It's something to do with the programming and not the wiring. I believe it's in this thread that someone already posted the reson as to why it's happening.

Did it again today, just long enough to put my hand on the vent and it seemed to be blowing but at a much lower rate before coming back on ...

No biggie, till it goes out in August

Mine has done it a couple times in the past few days. I've noticed it happens at almost the exact same point in my drive everytime.

Mine is doing the same thing. Blower cuts out randomly for 3-5 seconds, then comes back on. It's done this 6 times. Ive had it just over a month (2013). The only common denominator I have noticed so far is that the fan setting is on full blast or the notch just below full blast.

Are others having this issue on lower fan speed settings?

Mine too every once in a while, usually in the first few minutes. It comes back in a few seconds. I figure it is a programming feature or a glitch maybe. I notice it takes autotemp a short time to figure things out and start blowing hard. In any case, I am not losing my cool over it.
