That Jeep is a total loss to the insurer.

Thanks for the kind words folks. Obviously the Jeep is a total loss. It really kills me
that I just dropped $1700 for Duratracs less than a month ago.

Most of the aftermarket stuff is damaged from the rollover. You can see it from the pics but when I went off the road I went right over a traffic sign and got a huge dent in the front bumper.

The drunk got injured but I didn't interact with him at all. I'm just letting my lawyer and the police sort it out.

Best to let the lawyers am police to do it to! That's how I'm going about it. The ladies who hit me rolled also, she spent 1 hour in the hospital then went to jail and got out for $100. I was in the neuro ICU for 4 days!! And after my jeep was deemed total loss they were determining the value of the jeep and the only thing I did to it was do a rust proofing and Teflon coating on the paint. According to my lawyer the insurance company does not have to add to the value of the vehicle for any after market mods, and I just got lucky they gave me that. I hope for you it is different and you get compensated for your mods!

Glad you are here to tell us this. Take it slow on the recovery, you don't want to rush it. Drunk drivers SUCK!

Well this answers a question I had about the roll bar. My brother in law used to have a CJ7 and he said the roll bar was cosmetic, I guess now they are not. Glad you're still here and hope you have a speedy recovery.

WOW.. that really blows.. but its assuring to see how well the jeep held up considering. I travel with three kids and dogs to the mountains a lot and need that roll bar to be sturdy,

Glad you are ok. Get a good lawyer and you should be able to collect for all damages to the Jeep including any mods and your health.Get them for every cent you can as your injuries could cause you problems later in life.Broken bones may heal but they will come back to cause you pain when your older.

When my Sport Trac got totaled, it was like 2 weeks after new tires. I produced a receipt and that full amount was added to the insurance check.
Whatever you do, don't take the first offer. It may be different if you are in a no-fault state, but AFAIK most insurance companies use the same one or 2 estimating programs and always come in way low.
