I am getting my first jeep in a couple of weeks (D1 status) and i am just curious if i should get an AAA membership? I currently own a VW and it came with a VW Roadside Assistance program. I tried to see if Chrysler offers something like that but the only thing i could find was a warranty towing service on the Jeep webside. I guess thats not exactly the same as roadside assistance...but who am i to know. Any suggestions, tips or experience on that matter? Thank you all in advance cause anything will help. In case i should get it.....any rebate codes thru the forum? Or maybe even better alternatives other than AAA?
Thank you again
I have AAA Gold and its great, 100 miles of free towing. Ive used it for my vehicles, friends vehicles. def worth the price. better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it...
AAA Plus. Member for decades. Discounts at various stores, jump starts, tire changes, tows for myself and friends. Once got stuck way up high on a side road and not of any major road. Could not turn around and cliff on one side. Called AAA and described the situation. They offered to send a crane out to get me down. Was able to get my friend's husband to get the truck down. After that offer, AAA all the way for me.
AAA can be fine but I have found that it is regional. AAA in one place will be different then AAA in another. One placeI found it only covered one and only one vehicle. In another area it covered whatever I drove. Make sure you know what you are getting. I ended up with Allstate Motor Club which was all around a better deal.
I think I know what your asking and your answer is no lol they dont have info on trails and if your question is will they come get you offroad, again, no lol if their winch line can't reach you from the shoulder to bad lol
I used to be an EMT. Where I was stationed (15 years ago), we would go to the drive in theater on Saturday nights.
We were in a spare ambulance one weekend because ours was being worked on. Sure enough, we got a call in the middle of a movie and the van wouldn't start! So my partner and I were starting to freak out because we weren't supposed to be at the drive in. So I notified dispatch that the rig wouldn't start. We had AAA, so I gave them the address across the street at the donut shop. I met him there on foot, he jump started the rig for us and was nice enough not to report our real address.
I've also used a few times in other people's cars. I was at a rock concert with a friend. We were both drinking, he locked the keys in his car.
