About Time of new tires and rims

I have looked and looked and looked on this site to find an answers for my question and I can't find it so I am going to have to ask! I have a 2009 X with a 2.5 BDS lift kit. My stock tires, that are an eye sore, are about worn out and I need new ones. So I am finishing my lift project with either 35 tires or 315 ( which i belive is just about the same size). What size rims and back space do I need to make it work? Also I am not looking for nice rims just cheap ones that can take abuse from off roading in the South Carolina Clay lol.

I have seen a lot of people to 315/75/17 or 16 can't remember and 35/12.5/17 or 16

These sizes above correct??

Thanks for all your help
Miller and Jake (the dog)

Suggestion...

I have ordered everything for my upgrade and taking it in next week. Obviously it is about taste in terms of wheels, but I am getting MT 35"s MTZ's for mine, and matching them with MT 17" black wheels, but the key is they have the proper 4.5" backspacing. I am replacing my current 2" lift for a 3" TeraFlex.

They recommend for 35"s typically 4.5" - 4.7" backspace for no rubbing etc. especially with 2.5" to 3" lift.

You want a 8 to 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 or 4.75 inches of backspacing.

35 and 315 are the same size tire... I've got 4 inch rough country lift with 315/75/16 no bad spacing and I only rub if I turn the wheel all the way to one side... and I would strongly suggest regearing to atleast 4.88 gears... if u don't u will notice a big HP drop and put a strain on ur stock 3.21 gears

I missed that piece in my reply. I am re-gearing to 5.13s for my upgrade....

Good catch.

I have 4" backspacing on my wheels and they work fine.

I only expect to get 20-25k miles on this set of 315/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTZs.

4.88 gears on my 6 speed as well.

Thank you so much for all your help! How much did you all spend on tires and wheels?

I went with Fuel "Octane" wheels and Dunlop "Attitude" 35 x 12.5 x 17s and spent right at 1100 on the tires alone, cant remember what the rims cost..

I got all five of my Mickeys for $290 each mounted and balanced and my Eagle Alloy wheels for $130 ea shipped.

Yeah 16s fit no problem. The base model JK comes with 16s.
