hard top
"full" doors
engine block heater

underbody coating for rust (absolutely a waste of money)

additions afterwards:
coverking pleather on both rows
smittybilt rock rails
wild boar front bumper (adding weight kills MPG)
flowmaster exhaust (worthless)
python 990 security and remote start (meh just don't leave anything valuable in your jeep)
"jeep" floor mats (worthless and expensive, most tear out the carpet anyway)
undecided trunk floor mat

Not maybe, but definitely get the connectivity package. Well worth the $300 or whatever extra it is

I'm not sure how it works, but I'm sure someone else can explain to you about the TreadLightly discount. I hear (not sure if it's true) that you will get your pricing at 1% below invoice? I wish I would have known about that.

1-2% under invoice no questions asked. Join Tread Lightly, get membership number, take with you to dealership.

FYI: Its not called the Tread Lightly discount. The discount that has been mentioned is the Chrysler Affiliates program. Many companies, groups and organizations are a part of it, of which TreadLighly is. Any member of the program gets the above discount. For instance, the company I work with is a member since we supply parts to Chrysler.

I checked out the Tread Lightly and you need to be a member for 30 days and bring your membership card with you that gets shipped on Fridays.

yup. have to do the three year membership though, one problem--it takes about a week to get your paperwork with the code to give the dealer.

well worth the extra weeks wait. from what you described.... you should probably be able to find that on a lot someplace... any way you choose, you'll be happy with that setup. i'd nix the pleather covers... and go for some wet oakleys or something like that...

inferno girl does seat covers on the forum i think... look her up. oh yeah... and post pictures when you get it!

Underbody coating for rust = cash for the dealer. Not needed. Get the connectivity package. I like having Nav. Your choice.

Time frame seems pretty realstic. 2012 orders stop next week I believe, 2013 orders start early June, so it seems reasonable.

I wonder since he is ordering it, and wouldn't be buying it until it comes in, would he still be able to use it since, I'm assuming, it would take longer than 30 days?

Not needed.

OP simply wants info on how to obtain the discount. It was provided within my post.

Sure, but if he goes into the dealership and goes "Sup, yall, I got a Tread Lightly discount. I want 1% under invoice; stat", they may not know what hes talking about. Bring up Chrysler Affiliates and they sure will

It is still useful information. If he walked in and said he had the tread lightly discount and his dealer had not heard of them it would be less effective than saying chrystler affiliates. It also could have caused him to check to see if his company is already an affiliates member, saving the trouble of joining.

Yes, this would work out. The discount is applied at the time of purchase. You don't really do much except give a good faith deposit when you order. It's not a contract to purchase, some don't even require a deposit. If it arrives, and you don't like it, it's the dealer's vehicle and they can sell it. But, if it arrives, and you want it, they can't not sell it to you because you are using the Affiliate Rewards program.

All the paperwork on the build sheet will show the MSRP, and the EPP or whatever they call it price. You can let them know you'll have a control number, and they'll point you to the right price on the sheet. They'll just ask that you bring that number when its time to pay.

Does the max tow include the anti spin differential? If not I would consider that.

Why does everyone say skip the under coating? I live in the "Rust Belt" and I have had that put on all my new vehicles when purchased. I only paid $200 for it.

Oh and I have leather seats too!

Even my dealer , who is a Jeep owner, said they don't sell the undercoating.
In mind , having a dealer recommend the undercoating is like saying this expensive auto that you just bought is pretty fragile - we don't make it well enough out of the box and you have to add undercoating or else...

I live an a big mid-western city where they go wild with road salt every winter - never got undercoating, never had a rust problem on any car, keep them 10+ years
