About to buy new headlights. Survey Says...

What do you guys think? Only thing keeping me from speakers are the price. I have a hard time even justifying $400 for TLs....I want something that will last with no issues

I went with the TLs (w/anti-flicker harness) and grabbed some Inspired Engineering fogs for less than a pair of JWs. I'm happy with it.

Will likely be ordering the JWS very soon...checking prices on different sites. Returned the TLs due to beam pattern and distribution, which I did not like at all.

got my JW Speakers about a month or so ago... while the price bit the big one, the quality, light output, and the look alone i think was WAY above the other brands...

do yourself a favor if your going to spend the money spend it right and get a set of JW headlights.

I chose to create my own replacement kit with Hella ECE H4 housings, some Philips +50 (although you could do the new +100's for even better performance) and the H13 to H4 cable. The cost was about $110. They are a vast improvement over stock, but are they as good as the LED's? probably not, but also 1/4 the cost, easy install and zero issues with artifacts, flickering or empty wallet...

Good luck!

Just installed my JW's today. Will test them out tonight on the way home from dinner out in the desert. Install was easy but not like like the chick in the bikini on youtube made it look, lol.

I installed JW's. I did a ton of research and was trying to justify the additional expense of JW's over TruckLites. Then I came across a lot of reviews and posts of people having issues with the TLs. I have been extremely happy with the JW's and I was amazed at how bright they were, how smooth the light pattern is, and how sharp the cutoff is. I would gladly spend the money again. I also lucked out as Morris 4x4 had a sale for $699 for the pair.

Anything you do will be better than the stock lights, but I love the JW's and think it is the best mod I have done to date.

Why isn't HID DDM kit in the poll..... They are way brighter and have farther distance than the others. No?

Just back from a night drive with the new JW's. Twice as good as the stock lights. Low beams have nice wide bright pattern that throws light evenly down the road. The stock lights had a band of light. Darkness, the band of light and then darkness. Brights really reach out. Not as good as the 20inch light bar but not that far off and legal. Like the clean white light they produce. Very happy with the upgrade and worth the money spent. Quality lights should be standard equipment like ABS.

Running this kit with Philip Xtreme Vision bulbs. Replaced Truck-lite Phase 7s, didn't like the beam pattern, artifacts, or intensity/brightness in the city. Prefer the Hellas in every way except that I have to replace dead bulbs.

Good spread and brightness, okay cut off, throws some light upwards. I ran HIDs in the stock housing for a couple months, never got flashed once, but I'm sure it was still slightly blinding people. You can tell by how bright street signs are.

The Retrofit Source is coming out with their own 7" housing, another option to HIDProjectors.com. The Sealed7 is the world first high-performance, fully modular bi-xenon replacement for all industry-standard 7" Round Headlights. No matter a muddy Jeep or a muscle car or a muddy Jeep, if you drive at night and can't see a damn thing, these are for

DDM tuning HID kits have gotten shitty and cheap..... last set i had on my yaris, it lasted 3 months then it went out on me again, i just got pissed and decided to remove their crap and throw in the garbage.

DDM is definitely not worth the money, especially with a rate of having to change their bulbs every 3 months.

None of the above. HIDprojectors are superior to them all. JWs look the best.

You might be in for some disappointment. IMHO, the pattern/spread of the JWs isn't very impressive to me, actually maybe even a bit less than TLs.

Plug and play with the exception of the wiring harness that needs to be connected to the battery. Everything else is click click click connectors.

Ill speak up for the kc i guess. The light pattern is much better than the TLs. You arent going to get many votes for them because not many have them. Keep in mind that they come with an anti flicker harness in the box and the others dont...

Oh man, that is not good news....but am glad you posted this. Then I may go the cheaper route and do Cibies or Hellas...the H4 conversion.

I like my TL's. I can see great at night now and the price wasn't too bad.

There is no way I'd pay the price they ask for JW's. They're very proud of them!

He didn't have any of those options at the time. Now the sky is the limit. Mine are just black on black on black. Landi and I have the same headlights....mine are brighter because I run 55W ballasts, and he's been too lazy to change em up so he's running 35W

No other headlight on the market is going to give you a beam pattern like landi posted.
