Abs light track control light?

I'm in the waiting room at my dealer. Both lights popped today, called dealer, they said my truck was unsafe to drive.

No check engine light.

Did they say why it's unsafe? Those lights mean you don't have ABS or traction control

You might have just wrecked a wheel sensor

You can do basic OBD in your driveway. I don't have the link on how, but it's out there.

Hopefully it's just a wheel sensor.

Wheel speed sensor. Tire wore thru it. They wanted to charge me $250 to change a $26 part.

Charged mr $55 to diagnose. $26 sensor.

Pics coming when I get dirty doing it.

When the guy Said he had to take the rotor off, I stopped listening, and decided to do it myself.

A positive note was that after freaking out a little the dealer let me bring it in at 4:30pm.

Completely safe to drive. I've gone through 3 of them. The rear you can do with tires still on. The front the calipers need to come off. when one is off you get no traction control, no abs, and no hill start assist (manual). Just be very careful when disconnecting them from the tabs. If they break the connector you have to buy a new connector and splice it in yourself. Costs nearly 40 bucks.
