Absolute best headunit replacement?

What is it? Is there anything that keeps all the steering wheel controls, Sirius and Uconnect?

Thanks!

Thanks, I was more or less looking for a specific brand and model number...something that someone has experience with it.

Start with a budget. Then look at what is in your price range, that should help narrow down the field. Unless of course you're independently wealthy, in which case hire a competent audio engineer to put together a system for you.

I'm also wondering about this too. I replaced the speakers and poly-fill which does help but with my iPod I still get distortion at higher volumes.

This is a good place to start. There is a bazillion different head units out there, you need to start with what features you are looking for and how much you are looking to spend.

To get the steering wheel controls to work on aftermarket head units you have to get the remote module for that brand. They usually run about 50 bucks, so pucker up.

I'm partial to the pioneer premiere head units, and I've been through a TON Of head units. I even ran a couple nacamichi units back in the day and truthfully, every premiere unit I've had has impressed the hell out of me.

Not regular pioneer, but the premiere series will say "premiere" where the pioneer logo should be.

On the Rosen unit the steering wheel controls are plug and play. No extra harness is needed.
