Ok, so I am aware that this has been around for a while, but I was wondering if anyone one that here has one, can post up a review for it. The weather here in NYC has been pretty nice in the afternoons (mid 60s) but on the colder side for the morning commutes to work (high 30s-low 40s). I like going doorless, but I really need to layer up in the AM for the ride in. These look like they might come in handy for me and the girlfriend. So what are your opinions? Worth the $38?
you know it took me a minute before I realized what was happening here...at first I was puzzled why there was a roll bar in the middle of his jeep...then I realized he is pumping in the hot air from the vent into his jacket...he looks a little too happy about this. lol
I've had one since it first came out. It works absolutely great. Fills up with hot air quick and keeps you really comfortable when the temperature drops out on you when going topless. Very easy to attach to the air duct. The material seems a bit plastic, but it sure is tough. It's supposed to work well to cool you off when it's really hot by using it with A/C, but I doubt I'll be needing that on the cool North coast.
I have one. Works flawless. It's not breathable at all. Holds the heat and then some. I used it in Moab all week. It even kept me dry during Sundays hail storm.
And, to answer the OP's question: two of these would be perfect for exactly the situation you describe. Attach one to the driver's side vent and the girlfriend's to the passenger side (the attachment hose can be fed out through either pocket) and you will be riding in comfort!
The Ace guys wouldn't have put this out if it didn't meet their high standards!
My girlfriend and I loved ours for the winter in Louisiana. If you love taking the top off, it's probably amazing in New Jersey. I wear mine as a windbreaker when it's cool too.
I got one of these for my birthday and used it for the first time today. As others have said, it worked great! Damn near set my stomach on fire on high heat where it enters the jacket! You may get some strange looks wiith it attached but it definitely does what they claim. I love it.
