They do work great as a step. My wife wanted a step and I wanted rails for wheeling. They serve great as both. Even my 3 year old is able to get in using the step.

Here's a pic with Ace and Rubi rails. You can see that it sticks out nicely.

Nice King, thanks for the shot. I love them! I'm not sure of what the setup will look like without the Rubi rails, anyone have a side shot with just the Ace and no Rubi rails?

Cool.

Looks good either way. I got used rubi rails for $125. I like the way it looks + a little extra protection.
