ACE Rear Bumper Help

So I'm trying to install the new ACE rear bumper and tire carrier. I got the bumper in with a little hammering. The tire carrier swing arm will not go into the mount on the bumper. The male end of the joint is far too big to fit. I have hammered, twisted, and turned. It is visibly too large to fit. Not even close. Am I doing something wrong? Please help! Thanks!

Yeah... It's just that they are closed and I had a guy out there helping me. I thought maybe someone would have seen this problem before. I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks!

Let us know what you find out, in case it happens to someone else too.

mine was a very tight fit to install had to be perfectly in line and square with the opening. got it in 1/2 inch or so by having helper push down while I swung it back and forth. after that was able to place a 2x4 on the bar and gently beat it in the rest of the way with a dead blow mallet. Its really close tolerance.

Oh, yeah... we twisted, hammered, wiggled, everything. There were little metal shavings starting to come out. You could look at the male section and see a significant size difference.

I'll just call them in the morning. I have no doubt they will do what is necessary to fix it.

After talking to Adam and getting a better understanding of which end to look for the problem, I got it straightened out. The bushing was a little bit too big... not sure if it was just a little dirty or what. Some sandpaper to the bushing for about two minutes fixed the problem. The guys are ACE are true badasses.

I've been debating about where to get new rock sliders and bumpers from. Adam your customer service just sold me. I will be placing my order tomorrow for a pair of 4 door rock sliders.

I currently have on order, the 2door wall hangers for when the doors are off, I already planned on getting the front and rear bumper as well as the rock sliders from them. When money allows, they will definitely be getting my business directly, not through a reseller.
