So the 2012 build begins by first installing the new soft top and the cobra 75 cb.
And one last look at the stock suspension.

Now it's time to sort out the parts and get started on the front end.

The 3.5 X Factor includes adjustable upper and lower control arms, front and rear trackbars, coils and new stainless braid brake lines. We will finish up the front, but not torque it until it sits on it's own weight at ride height. Install the brake lines, and time to move to the rear.

As the pile of take-offs grows, the RK boxes are being emptied, and this jk gets closer to being much more capable on the trail.

As the rear section is coming together, even though the track bar bracket is bolted on, we always weld these on too. The forces at these track bars need it.

I had to wait 4 months from the time I ordered my Jeep until it arrived. The good thing about the wait was all the decisions were made for the build when it came in. There are almost too many options, it makes it nice to have someone you trust to help make the right ones. It seems you have the perfect person doing the work and helping you, it's going to be awesome!!

It's nice your getting step by step pictures. I made the mistake of not having any taken, we were out of the Country while the build was going on and I was too overwhelmed to even think of it.

I'm ready to learn from you guys and take it easy at first Pluke. Heck, it's got less than 1500 miles on it The wife and I are enjoying it big time though.

You're right Lisa, having someone point you in the right direction and feeling comfortable at the same time is pretty rare. From the comments posted here I know I made a good choice going with JPi

If anyone is interested in this trip, we'd love to have you join us: Moab Aug 25--Sep 1

This is a great video if you haven't already seen it, not that we'll be doing this our first time out though. There's lots of different easy and up trails: http://www.jk-forum.com/moab-144/pro...d-land-167367/

Just curious, how many inches are you guys moving the rear axle back? Love your new $$ maker. Honestly, if we don't sell our 2 door here soon I'll be in desperate need of a new shop. Some of the shops over by us (close to the beach) are not reliable.

Looking at either doing a LA stretch or coilovers.

We're moving this one back 1", nothing wild.
We're here for the long haul, no slowin down for us!
I'm remodeling my 08 JKUR soon, going to be Coil overs and some wild geometry. Can't wait to start...right after my 2012 rubi is finished.

Now it's over to the four post lift to center the axles, set pinion angles and caster, torque the control arms and all lock nuts.
