adhesive strips on soft tops!

Hey guys! Very simple question here! I have an 08 sahara soft top and I've lost one of those adhesive strips on the soft top. They are placed where the top locks down! They come off pretty easy! Just wondering if they really help seal or not and if they are worth replacing! Ive only had my jeep since May and they are worn out! Thanks!

A friend peeled his off and he says that he gets whistling noise from the roof now where the little foam bits used to be. Maybe they are more for blocking wind than rain?

a couple of mine have come off... all good though

Build it as far as your budget allows, and then sell crap on ebay/craigslist and build some more!
