Advice on used 2009 JK

I've done a lot of searching through the forum and the Internet in general on what to look for in a used wrangler and am still a little worried on what all to check. Other than making sure everything currently works(2hi, 4hi, 4lo, no death wobble), checking fluids(oil, tranny, coolant), checking for damage/wear on the underside/skidplates, is there anything else super important to check on a used JK. Tomorrow I will be looking at this wrangler:
2009 jeep wrangler
Is there anything else I should check?
Is there anything particular to 2009's to look for?
I appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Great price! Looks good too. 2009 didn't have many problems at all so you're probably set. You might want to add a tranny cooler if not pre installed but that's easy and cheap to do yourself. Just by how it's modified, I'd guess it has been off road a little bit. As long as its not damaged tho that's not the end of the world

For $18k and 64000 miles, I'd consider a new 2012/2013 sport instead for about $25K.

Well if you want an already decently built up jeep go for it, but if you want a brand new jeep and the ability to do what you want to it, go new. A new one would only be a few thousand more

I would say go for it. With the mods you would have to spend several thousand more if you bought a new one to get it up to where that one is now. That is the beauty of a Jeep. I bought my 09 for 19,000 in December of 09 and it would still bring 18,000 today according to Kelly Blue Book if I sold it myself. That is what I call retaining value.
Keep on Wheeling!

Only other things I'd check that you didnt mention is the synthetic rope on the winch to make sure it's not all nasty and to make sure the winch works. If you buy it I'd also pull the wheels off and check the torqu on the spacers. 3" lift, 33s and stock wheels....I'm assuming he's running spacers. If there are spacers also make sure they are hub centric.

Other than that, personaly, I like it! I bought my 09 X a few months back in bone stock condition. I payed a little less than that, but with the bumpers, winch, doors, net, lift, tires, ext thats another few grand in goodies. I think it's a good price. I like the color too!
