Just installed my second major mod. The AEV lift has transformed the Jeep's ride and appearance. Christian at Peden 4 Wheel Drive did his usual install magic. On to save for the next phase (bumpers, roof rack...), towards my overlanding goals.
Here's a little video I made, documenting the installation, with before and after. Cheers!
As mentioned in the video, I picked this kit over the others because it addressed both on and off road requirements I had for the Jeep. Practically, the JK will spend most of its time on the road but I wanted it to be very capable off road but with the realization that it wouldn't be a star at more technical rock crawling stuff.
In the end, if the wife found the post-lift ride worse than stock, it wouldn't be in my best interest. My observation is that the JK's road manners has been improved significantly (greatly reduced brake dive, way less jarring over small bumps etc.). I've yet to take it proper off roading. Thanks for watching!
