AEV and ZEON Winches

I know AEV recommends the WARN 9.5cti for their bumper but I was wondering if the ZEON 10 would fit on it.

I was 100% set on the Poison Spyder MID Brawler but I'm all over the map and I've starting to really like the AEV Premium Bumper.

There's a thread either on here or the AEV forums about it. I think it took a bit of fiddling to get it to fit, but I also believe word is that AEV is going to change the bumper or plate to accommodate it better.

the problem is not if it will fit. It will. The issue is the zeon is the only perfectly symmetrical winch on the market. So if you place a zeon on a standard winch plate it will be slightly off center which makes it harder to spool right. LoD offroad made me a winch plate specifically for my zeon 10-s winch at no extra cost, and have done so for others. I have the signature series mid width. I love both products and Chris at LoD was very helpful.

If you end up going with the PS Brawler, make sure you order the Zeon spacer plate. It might fit without it but will be extremely close. Mine would not clear and I had to space it up just a bit.

Would you happen to have a picture of your setup? I'd love to see it

I find that a bit amusing because I have had your build thread bookmarked since late October. Your element door post is going to end up costing me some $$$.

Sorry for the brief hijack OP.

AEV says that the Zeon will fit but that there is some interference with one of the the light brackets. Apparently they are modifying their winch plate but haven't said when it will be available:

I just installed the Warn Zeon 10 on a Smittybuilt short bumper that has the recess into the space between the frame rails. It was a tight fit and I had to trim about 3/4" off the top plate and about 3/8" off the front flange of the bumper mounting bracket on each side. I still had plenty of metal left and did not have to cut into the inside top bumper bolt hole. Also had to install vaccumn pump relocation bracket that did work out nicely. It does look great and is very stout. It covers the lower cross member and can also accomodate a front skid plate and it is drilled out for it. The Warn Zeon 10 is a tight fit but it looks great and it does seem like it will work well. There are no provisions for the stock driving lights but it is drilled out to mount a pair of lights on the bumper itself just off each side of the winch end. There is no brush guard or bull bar. As much as I would have like a different bumper I was on a budget and I choose to save some money on the bumper.

That is exactly what I have the ZEON 10 and the AEV premium bumper. It does fit, I elongated the holes on the winch plate so it would be centered, and made the cutouts for the bolt heads a little bigger. I used the vacuum pump relocation bracket and removed the old one. Trimmed up the driver’s side front flange (any cutting that you have to do, you will not be able to see) It is a tight fit, but I really like the look.

Pics please. Lovin the AEV bumper and was wondering how the new ZEON would look.
Thanks.
