I can measure my stock JKUR front high and figure out what the diff is! That 35” on the front is from ground to where on your jeep? I know you mentioned you do not have stock tire on now so that will make a different I suppose. but they are 32", which is the stock size, right?
BTW, how are the Blizaks working for you? I have heard a lot of good thing about does for snow and Ice. I would love to see a photo or a link.
Thanks
Max
Good point, I tookthe measurements from the ground up to the bottom of the fender flair, front and back at the same point. Yes the Blizaks are 32's (265/70R17) I put them on the stock rims. These are by far the best winter tires I have ever purchased, they stick like glue. I am a customer for life. They are a little pricy but worth the extra cost. I have the stock tires on 17" Fuel wheels. As requested here are a couple of pics.

I just did a little research and the stock front bumper weighs in at aprox 30 lbs (tow hooks included). The AEV bumper weighs in at aprox 116 lbs and my winch (Warn XD 9000i) weighs in at 85 lbs for a grand total of 201 lbs. 171 lbs over stock setup.
I hope I get this part correct. This is with respect to JKU Rubicon 6sp std:
Base weight front:2352lbs
GAWR Front:2775lbs
Grand total difference:423lbs
you are alowd to load the front of this jeep to a max of 2775 lbs before you exceed the GAWR front. Therefore the setup I have brings my modified weigh on the front end to 2523lbs, well within the GAWR front recomendations. If we go by numbers based on the 2012 wrangler specs there in no need to add any extra suspension to the front end to compensate for the weight of the bumper or winch combination. The extra 171 lbs I added to the front end may have changed the rake a little but not enough to change the handleing of the jeep, from what I can tell.

Just a thought

Sorry for being a dork but with the AEV premium front bumper, where are the tow hooks or where would they be added?

Have you checked out the Warn Elite? It also rises on the ends to match the factory flares. I think installation might also be simpler than what has been described here for the AEV. KB suggested way back on one of the first posts that you add the 19/60 springs. Since you're only adding weight on the front end, just get the front 19 springs to bring the front back up to stock height.

They don't have tow hooks. They have holes for D rings.

My dealer told me the same thing so I called AEV direct and they confirmed it. What's another 3 - 4 weeks after waiting this long?

Don't know if its already been posted, but Dave on the AEV forums said that the new bumpers will allow for easy grill removal.

I thought that the AEV bumper is the same as Mopar premium but I realize that there might be a diference after reading this thread. I finally decided to get the AEV tubeless bumper along with their steel skid plate (1099 and 299 respectively). After a great deal of research, I learned that the AEV bumpers sold for 1,000 something are exactly the same bumpers that go on COD MW3 edition (dealer charges 4,300 for the MW3 bumper and claims that it is not the same - in fact, AEV manufactures the bumpers for MW3!!!!!). Now my issue is that, AEV website states that their bumpers fit 2012 wranglers built after 12/21/2012 without any modifications! I emailed AEV inquiring about my Rubicon since it was built in Sep 2011 and I learned that minor modifications are necessary since mine built before 12/21! They sent me installation instructions which don't specify the difference. Has anyone installed AEV bumpers on his/her 2012 wrangler? If so, was your wrangler built before 12/21/11? And what kind of modifications did you have to do? Thanks

I will be installing mine this weekend or next but have been reading the 2/29/12 AEV30103AB version of the instructions online (which are different than the version shipped with my bumper) it appears the modification is for the skid plate not the bumper but hoepfully someone with first hand knowledge will chime in.

AEV Bumper & Winch Drops nose of Jeep

I just installed the AEV front bumper on my 2013 JKRU and from what I can tell the nose has not dropped down from the weight...if it has it's very little but certainly not an inch:

If you want to compensate for the extra weight of that great bumper/winch without adding a lift, you might try Daystar's coil spring spacer (.75-1.00 in., I think). I installed 'em on my previous TJ and on my '08 JKUR prior to installing a 3.5" AEV DS lift, and was happy with the way it looked and handled.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Sometime mid to late in the 2012 build cycle, I assume when the COD MW started rolling out with AEV bumpers, Jeep modified the cross members so they did not need to be cut. It mentions this somewhere in the AEV instructions, I believe. I have a very late 2012 JKUR and everything bolted up with no modifications or grinding.

It took me 8h, and that included a Warn 9 install, taking my time, a few (stupid) mistakes, a sandwhich, and 45min of brain time figuring out how to bolt the rear of the skid, which can be a PITA. There's a couple of trick methods to install the skid bolts that only take 10min.
