Im a little late on this thread, but i am very close to buying the AEV brackets. My BIGGEST concern is clearence.I have a 3.5" lift and and dont wanna get snagged on a rock when im riding the trails. How much clearence is really lost with the drop brackets?

I am in the same boat. Getting ready to put on my new PR44 and figured this would be a great time for the AEV Drop Bracket. Would like to hear from anyone that has had them on for a while and get their off road conclusions. Did the loss of ground clearance affect you in any way?

Depends on the lines you choose. Some complain and some don't. I will say most the negative Nancy's don't even run them.

You loose 1.5 but only at one end. The axle mount remains the same. Bad example .. These are RK high clearance arms. Here's a comparison.

What are you running now? The drop or the RK HC LCA

What is your overall impression between the two?

Limited seat time but honestly ... There's quite a difference. RK claims since their arms are HC, the angles don't effect ride as much. RK moves the front axle forward .5 unlike some of the other companies.
The steering feels more in tune with the suspension... Hard to explain without getting into geometry. A++ so far.

I added the correction brackets on our AEV 2.5 lift this past weekend. took about 2 hours total. afterwards I drove it and felts a noticeable difference. Wife drove it the next days and also commented how much better it drove. Closer to how it drove with stock tires and no lift. Very happy with the 100.00 investment. I don't think the small decrease in clearance will impact us at all. If we get that bracket hung up on a big rock that close to the tire she probabaly shouldn't have driver over it to start with.
