Hey everyone need some help deciding what kind of headlights I should get for my JK? Current OEM are extremely foggy and need to be replaced ASAP.

I have seen some nice looking Jeeps with some Revision 2.0 Signature from HID Projectors https://www.hidprojectors.com/collections/jeep-wrangler-headlights/products/revision-2-0-signature

I was also looking at these from KC LED Hilites to match with my current KC setup. https://www.extremeterrain.com/kc-hilites-gravity-7in-headlight-pair-0717.html

Thoughts..?

I'm not sure what these cost but, I picked up my 2017 last week and the OEM LED's are awesome!! Of course compared to every other Jeep I've had in the past with the world's worst halogens, it's not too hard to impress me in that department.

KC makes some great LED headlights - their Gravity Pro's are top notch (Click the photos for more info!):

There is also JW Speaker brand:

2017 Mopar Factory LED Headlights as recommended above:

In the reflector setup we also offer Quadratec LED Stealth headlights:

And Truck-Lite by Rigid:

Among other offerings from Crown, Vision-X, Pro-Comp and others:

Well, my wife just purchased a new 2017 this weekend, and I have to say, WOW!!!!

It's making me think about upgrading. I would love to do OEM, but from what I see, too expensive.

The Quadratec Gen II may be my choice based on reviews.

I had a set of cheap Chinese knock-offs.... once... wish I had never spent money on them. The optics are terrible and they let moisture in within a couple of months. I'd spend the extra 175 and wait for a set of 2017 LED take offs.

I dig the JW Speakers and the OEM LEDs. I have the original KC HiLites LED headlights and have had to replace the set once and get new harnesses from KC on 4 different occasions. New Gravity looks nice but my current set left a bad taste in my mouth.

Maybe it's time to re-upgrade.

It is definitely a matter of preference. Our $329.99 (Retail) LED Headlights are an incredible improvement over the factory halogen headlights. I run them in my Wrangler and am very happy with them. If one can drop $800 on headlights and feel great about it, that's absolutely warranted for the Mopar OEM LED headlights. I have spent close to that on headlights for my Jeeps and other vehicles over the years with 0 regrets.

Would you recommend the OEM headlights over Trucklights heated LEDs?
The Mopar OEM LED headlights are the best LED headlights for JK available at this time, in my personal opinion. The beam pattern, output, cutoff, color temp are all superb!

There is talk on the other thread about the need for a dealer reflash to eliminate flicker. Do the installation instructions mention that, or is this just Jeep tribal knowledge?
This is accurate for 2017 models. For earlier model year applications I have not seen a dealer able to flash the computer to eliminate flicker. That's just my personal account of what I have seen. There are some other options out there:

-Buy the typical H13 to H4 PWM (anti-flicker) modules and some male H4 to female H13 adapters.
-Buy H13 to H13 PWM (anti-flicker) modules. These are far more rare and are typically found on eBay Motors and elsewhere from Chinese companies. Of course, quality and how well they work will vary.

Either of the above should eliminate flickering.

Stay away from the untested/illegal crap. Buy something legal, safe. Rick is on this forum and supports us. Buy from Q-tec or trusted vendor of your choice. But buy legitimate lights.
Thanks for the recommendation!

I have purchased 2 sets of the HIDprojector lights and love them. They are expensive, but I feel they are worth it.

Ordered my J W Speaker headlights from Quadratec on Monday. Fedex came today at 3:30. Lights completely installed at 4:45. Will check them out tonight after dark.

The main reason I got the J W Speaker's is that they have an anti-flicker device built in which claims eliminated the flickering. I sure hope so or I will be disappointed.

And Rick's company is clever enough not to sell illegal crap, unlike companies like fortec...

I have read some reviews stating that the LED headlights may cause static or interference with the FM radio stations. Anybody have any experience with that issue? Thinking of contacting Rick for a quote on the KC LED Pro lights, but want to make sure before I drop c. $600. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out with this.

I really feel our Quadratec LED headlights are the best value LED headlights out there:

I have been very happy with the quadratec stealth led headlights and fogs. Easy install, huge lighting improvement and easy on the wallet for the package deal.

I first replaced my stock headlights with Cibie reflectors and H4 bulbs. While it was an improvement, I was not very impressed. I replaced those with the Quadratec LED headlights for around $300 and they are a HUGE improvement. There is plenty of light with the low beams and the high beams really light us the road very well. I wish I had gotten the Quadratec lights right away instead of spending money on the Cibies.

We have 3 jeeps at the house (was 4 but the TJ has moved on now). We have JWS EVO-J in mine, Truck-lite in my sons and factory halogen in my youngest sons. The TJ had ProComps.

Best bang for your buck, IMO, is the ProComp. Excellent cut-off and beam spread and nice crisp, white light. Built in PWM too. Kinda makes me fell dumb for spending big $$ on the JWS.

The Truck-lites are good but give up some brightness to the other 2 and they have a fuzzy cutoff. Also needs an add on PWN harness. Still way better than stock.

My new JK has the factory LED headlights. They are excellent, and there is no need for auxiliary lights with these headlights. However, if your Jeep did not come from factory with them you will have to take a trip to the dealer to have the LED option enable in order for LEDs to produce full power.

Got my first JKU in late ‘16 and was looking for something simple after a year of misery during the weekly 2hr drives to the cabin. Live in Canada so for snow and ice buildup were a concern, then there’s the US exchange rate. Wanted LED but all the flicker, running light issues and required mods, decided to drop $130 CDN ($100US) on Amazon and got Cibie glass, H4 conversion kit and Sylvainia Lazer 140%. For me, I can replace these 8 times before it would cost the same as the JW’s, TL’s or Quad’s. Good coverage except the dark bloob (it’s the refractor design to increase horizontal FOV), crisp white and damn bright. No regrets and plan on proactively replacing the bulbs annually ($45 on Amazon).
