Aftermarket Keyless Entry

I have got a base model without power door locks. Checked local best buy and found some Viper Alarm Systems. They run $299-499 installed depending on a model. What do you guys think? Do they work well?

I did this to my jeep, but that price you wrote is to install the Alarm system only, your going to need door actuators installed first. It took me and a buddy most of a day to get the actuators and wire the doors.

I though its included in the price. Looks like they will have to charge me extra for wiring doors, right?

My jeep is the same base model. I skipped door locks, especially since I remove the doors a lot.

Just had a shock sensor and motion sensor installed.

I wish i could remove my hard top and doors, but i have no garage or space to store them. Im more concerned in convenience of having power locks than security, but don't mind having both at the same time.

You check it out I never heard of Viper door actuators. I'll bet it's to have the alarm installed only. On a jeep that already has door locks. My key less system is also a viper but my door locks are not. Good luck with this. In my area I could find no shop that would do this at any price. I wanted it most to lock the rear hatch door without needing the key. In the summer door locks on my jeep are useless because the top is off most of the summer or until it stays in the mid to upper 90's
