Ah..!! There goes my Jeep !!

" One day, I will own a Jeep ". That is my usual quote that runs in my mind, when ever a Jeep crosses me in the highway. I have seen many different Jeeps, from YJ to JK, modded to Stocks. " Man they are so lovely beast ". It turned out to be my dream vehicle. I do not own a car, never owned as well. My company given me a Nissan Tiida to fetch some business to them. I use my Tiida for personal roam around as well. Every time when me and my girl friend go together and when I notice a Jeep, I use to shout " Oye , Jeep , Jeep !! " . My girl friend use to laugh and pat me that one day we will make it.

Then a day came, I went along with my girl friend's uncle to see a new car for him. The showroom where we went had Jeeps as well. Wow I said, and I went near them, sat inside them, felt them. " You like these machines " said the sales guy, I looked at him and said " NO!! I love them ". I asked the sales guy the price for a Black Beast with 4 doors displayed in the showroom (Sahara unlimited-2009), I was happy to hear that it was just $ 28,500 ( The new or 2010 model of the same is $ 32,500) with attractive offers like 3 years Service, 1 year AAA service, Free registration, Free insurance, Llumer Tints and few chrome accessories on it. For a minute I just concluded that this is the best offer of my Dream Jeep in this Region. I pushed my luck and asked him if he could help me to get this one with monthly installment and without any down payment ( Usually we need to pay 20% ). He said, he can. I went back with a hope and started processing through my office, since i will get $ 340 extra for owning car from my company along with my little salary of $ 800 per month. I remember that the sales guy told me the monthly installment for the Jeep will be $ 400. I didn't even think back, I thought i can afford the Jeep and can live with the remaining $ 740. But then my company refused me to take a Jeep and advised me to go with some smaller "car" below 1.8 Ltr engine. They even refused to give me Petrol wage. Oh Gawd..!! I thought for a moment and decided that still i can live by buying the jeep of my own without company's extra $ 340 and petrol card. My girl friend came to help me by donating $ 260 every month for another 6 years ( The finance was for 72 months ). Still I had hopes and started seeking help from the sales guy, he tried two banks and they refused my loan. And one last hope he given me that 100% he will make it with the 3rd bank. But for the past 10 days, me and my girl friend, funnily waiting for a positive reply from the sales guy. All the time replies that he is trying and trying, me n my girl friend losing hope day by day.

This might be too funny for many, but it really pains, when your dream get shattered, i use to read all the threads here, atleast it makes me happy. Sometimes i feel that many people here are lucky that they can afford what we can't. May be we are too poor to afford one. I and she have hope that one day we will be rich enough to afford a Jeep, but our fear is that we will be missing the 2007 to 2009 JKU models which we love the most. Like a crazy kid, i drive the jeep in GTA SA.

My Girl friend ask me daily whether any call came from the sales guy positively.

Just thought of writing it here. wrote down, apologies if i hurted anyone

I can feel your pain but I also can feel your negative thought. You won't achieve anything by thinking this way.
Be a bit more positive in your approach otherwise good energy won't stop by.
Try this and you will see the fantastic result.
Good luck.

Since there are always Jeeps of any model/year for sale, don't worry about missing the 2007-9 models. Find comfort in the fact that you will always be able to find "the one". Be peaceful about it, and your beast WILL FIND YOU when the time is right.

The jk's really blew up the price of a new wrangler. At 38,500 for a loaded rubi for 2010, I'm scared to see the '11 stickers

Sooo what we have now is dream jeeps going for big bucks. At almost unobtanium prices! No solution in site for you. Either hold off and scoop up a lightly used jk later down the road. Or like mentioned earlier just hunt for a clean cj or yj in your range and get jeepin

May I ask what area you are from. Just curious.
I feel your pain, I really do. While reading your story I thought the next paragraph was surely going to be "I got the jeep". But it wasn't so.

I really hope u join the family of jeep owners. Good luck to you.

Black Panther: Nothing wrong with second hand jeeps, as long as you check it out throughly. Give one new life and love...it will likely just have gotten broken in good and save you lots of money. If it doesn't work out right now, then that is not "THE" Jeep. It will find you.

FYI: I fell in love with a hopped up yellow TJ about 1-1/2 years ago. I wanted that thang SO freaking bad. It was gorgeous. And when I test drove it, OMG. That beast just jumped up in the air and took off. Felt like you were riding a big racehorse....pure raw power. I came back with the salesman (who turned white as a ghost during the test drive!) and tried to work the numbers. I was upside-down in a stupid minivan loan and it was impossible to work out. I was crushed and thought, "this is a sign, I will never get outta this van and back into another TJ." Very, very sad. But, alas, I waited and drove countless more before "my girl" found me this past May. I am very glad that the yellow one did not work out now.

Moral: Just be patient. She will find you when the time is right.

Thanks harwa, as you said, i fully agree that nothing wrong with a Used Jeep. trying so many different ways to capture the Black 4 door beast i saw in the showroom.

UPDATE ON THE SITUATION ::

Today, the sales guy finally called and informed me that the Bank can't finance 100% for my existing salary and can only Finance upto 60% .., Immediately me and my girl friend took out our sedan and started hunting for some used Jeeps with few dealers, unfortunately nothing was within our budget and mostly 2 doors only. Way too costly than the Brand new black 4 door beast i saw in the showroom .

We again met the sales guy and explained him to help us, he told me he will let me know if any used cars comes into his notice, but still he cannot guarantee me that without any down payment whether i could make it with a used car.

Later he stuck on an Idea and asked me to give him a fake salary certificate so that he will check again with the bank. He is 100% sure that i won't get into trouble, after insisting him, he spoke and confirmed with the Loan guy in the bank also whether will they send for any verification, but these guys were assuring me that they use to do this for few unavoidable circumstances for the past 5 years and nothing happened.

I just prepared a Fake certificate showing my allowance for car from company where physically i will not get from the company.

Anyways, lets see this time, but i din't find that Black 4 door in the showroom today .., when asked , he told me he needs to check it out, may be sent to warehouse. I had crossed my fingers

Man, I feel your pain. I too can not afford a jeep at the moment but I am watching and waiting and at the same time saving up.

personally I would not do the fake salary certificate for a couple of reasons. No matter how many times the dude said he as done this and nothing happened, something could happen and you could get caught. If you do, it will not end well for you. You also posted this on a public forum... I know the chances of the it being read by the bank very low but still man why take a chance where you might have to pay more money than you already can afford to the somebody else than saving it for your jeep. I know I am being the bad guy here but trust me, I think it would be much better if you do not do this.

But as I said before, I feel your pain and I am practically in the same boat as you. I can not afford a brand new jeep, so I am just saving up, looking and waiting and I am sure when the time is right my jeep will be found.
