Almost bought a used softtop...but

I was about to buy a used soft top until I asked the seller to help me put it on.....geez....what a PIA. It also looks ugly bunched up at the back....no thanks I will stick to my hard top and buy a hoist. Do they sell something you can put on quickly if it starts to rain?

A soft top.

If you want a shower cap, you can buy those...but then you can't drive. A bikini top will let in water driving or sitting still.

This, a soft top. I tried taking a hard top off my buddy's jeep and I thought that was a PITA! Soft top takes maybe 2-3 min now for me only because I walk the windows into my house.

Not if you get a soft top boot. I have the Smittybilt.

See the forest through the trees. Yeah, while it may be a PIA to switch tops (hard or soft) by adding the soft top you are getting a lot more versatility...for all four seasons! Go back and buy the soft top! You'll thank us all later once it's on.

I'm going with the trektop NX and a SpiderWebMesh in front. The nx can go safari w/o the windows and I think should be easier to put on or take off with the only issue being storage. I think it should still take less total room than the OEM top.

It's a Jeep, not a Cabriolet.

I sandwich my side curtains together and fold my back seat forward slightly ( if you try it you will understand why), and put the curtains on it. Then fold back the top, straighten everything out, and then return the back seat to its upright position. I do this so the side curtains stay against the seat.

I can kind of see what you're getting at, but I'll try it next time when I remove the top. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, it's better than "cramming" it back there. This way, you can neatly lay them on there and then fold the seats up and they will still be neatly in place.

I dont think it looks ugly with the top folded back. I feel like that's what a lot of people expect when it comes to jeeps in the summer. I like my soft top a lot better than my hard top

Not that big of a PITA....and gives you more versitility incase you are cruising in the sun and a nice big thunder boomer cloud decides to poke it's head out and down pour. Softop will help keep your interior dry vs having no top as pulling the carpets and plugs to dry out the rig is a bigger PITA!!

For the windows pick up a clover patch and roll them up and throw them in the pouch and throw the pouch on top of the folded top.
