I don't understand how you could be stuck in 4lo since the linkage for the transfer case is only a big cable, nothing electronic is involved in this. There is a 1$ or less plastic bushing at each end that can give way if you push/pull too hard on the transfer case lever. Maybe you should look into this, because it may be the only problem. Is you transfer case lever kind of "slack" ? If so, check the bushings. You can check them by looking under the jeep, it looks like this from under:

Do you mean about it being in 4 low? I figured he pushed the shifter back forward but was saying it was still stuck in low range.

Checked under the carriage and everything looks hooked up. If its not stuck in 4lo then it must be stuck in 3rd gear? Looking like an onboard computer problem. Also did not get any codes when I tried myself, Ty to who mentioned that.

On the bright side, carpets and seats were back in and it sat in the hot Florida heat all day. Still has that new car smell.

Try using the manual shifting to go through the gears? Is it showing a number on the dash or just P N R D?

Just PRND, I've tried after it happened, doesn't affect anything, that's why I say stuck in some gear

Can you find any connectors beneath the console? Seems to a be a shifting problem and that area was definitely under water. Maybe pull the console cover off and leave some desicant packs in that area.

Yeah had cleaned out all the connectors the previous day under the console that is and under the seats. My hunch is that one of the connectors shorted something out on the computer.
