Hello, I cant figure out how to open a new thread. I was just wondering if anyone has any info on the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Alpine Speaker system that can be added. I just ordered my jeep without them as I didn't think they would be that great of quality. Has anyone tried them? I may still have time to change my order. THANKS!!

I waited until the '15s came out when I heard they were updating the sound system, and I'm glad I did. The sound is great, bass is full, and the subwoofer doesn't eat up any cargo room now as it did in the previous years (although I wouldn't have minded the hidden storage). I agree with Dugzilla, it is awesome!

In my opinion, the '15 Alpine system is worth the upgrade, easier and cheaper than getting the same quality sound with aftermarket. It puts out a lot of volume and provides a good full sound (if you tune it properly). The bass doesn't rattle anything and can definitely be felt in the driver's seat. I wasn't expecting much, and I have been pleasantly surprised.

That being said, the 430 head unit isn't great, but its not terrible either.

The sound quality also depends a lot on what the source of the music is. Radio and satellite are just okay in mine, but an iPod through the USB connection in the console sounds great. Tried through bluetooth/iPhone once and didn't have time to really play with it, but it sounded pretty good.

I would also recommend doing the polyfill mod on the speakers in the sound bar and the sub. There is a thread on here somewhere explaining it. Basically, you put polyfill (the stuff from pillows) in the empty space around each speaker. Its supposed to help with the sound, but I can't attest to that since I did it within a couple days of picking up the JKU.

You can also look at adding a coax with a real tweeter to bring the '15 Alpine system to life. It's a good starting spot and for a tiny bit extra, I think it can be great.

I'm with everyone else I'm happy that I had purchased the Alpine. I purposely got the 130N over the rest of the radios. The upgraded radios in the wranglers suck in my opinion. Also as the others said the sound on sat radio is pretty poor. I plan to get a nicer touch screen unit for less than the Chrysler upcharge here soon. I have had sat radio in previous vehicles both oem and aftermarket and they did not sound like this. Best sound however comes from bluetooth.
