Here's mine. Mods so far:
  • Removed hood decal
  • Added stubby antenna
  • Debadged stickers
  • Blacked out keyholes, hinges, Trail Rated badge
  • Added AEV 2.5" lift
  • AEV Savegres in black
  • Duratracs 315
  • AEV Premium Front Bumper
  • PIAA Driving Lights on front bumper
  • AEV CHMSL
  • AEV Procal
  • Gentex Auto-dimming mirror
  • Polyfilled Sound bar

There's probably one or two more I'm forgetting but I'm almost done! I think a read-view camera is next for me.

I also got the tires flipped over so the white letters are on the inside.
Tinted the front windows, undercoated it, and painted the whole exhaust with black header paint so it doesn't rust out on me.(And so my muffler doesn't look silver from the back)
How are you guys blacking out key holes, just taping off and plastic dip?

Here's my altitude. The picture was of it brand new. Not many mods yet as I am new to Jeeps and from the German side of auto-sports, so I'm studying as I go. So far Trucklite Headlights, LED fogs, AntennaX antenna, removed hood decal, and in the future I am planning on 33" tires on 18" wheels so that I don't get stuck again while muddin' with the family.

Thanks for your compliment.
The lift is AEV's 3.5" DualSport suspension kit. It comes with Bilstein shocks. I love it and it handles extremely well.
The tires are 35" Good Year Wrangler MT/R Kevlars on 17" AEV Pintler wheels.

I agree with you guys but I really wanted the Altitude because of the interior. It also came with all the other options I wanted so it was the easiest to start the build with regarding what I wanted. Not only that but now I realize it is a little more original since most people with Altitudes don't build them up as much for the reason you mentioned.

Same here, I wanted it for the interior and the blacked out look (fuel filler cap is a PITA to install for instance) which I've extended using plasti-dip.

Our seats are all leather right? I've looked close and they look like it. They are not very soft. Kinda stiff leather but..... Who makes Those Altitude seats are they Katskins.?

My brothers!

Picked this baby up two weeks ago. Mods so far: 2.5" Teraflex Coil Lift, 295/70R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers (w/ 1.25" spacers... love these Altitude rims too much to replace them). Smittybuilt tire carrier. Tinted windows. Just plasti-dipped the door locks and antenna but haven't taken pics of that yet.

Would love to see more pics of your modded silver. How difficult was it to remove the hood decal? I'm on the fence about it since it's kinda subtle on my black hood anyway.

I was debating about new wheels or keeping the stock ones.... Yagermeister your jeep has just swayed me over towards saving the extra money.

Happy to be of service!

My original plan was to sell the factory wheels/tires on Craigslist, but I'm glad I kept these. You don't save a ton of money considering you have to invest $200 in spacers, but I've already gotten a lot of compliments on the wheels and I love 'em.

I had the dealer remove it before I picked up the Jeep so I can't say how easy/hard it would be. The side stickers I did myself and they were super easy. I found if the Jeep sits in the sun for a while they peel right off.

Silver Altitude

BDS 3" lift
Teraflex adj trac bar and steering stabilizer
Toyo Open Country M/T 285/75/18 tires on OEM wheels
Windows tinted
Weather Tech floor liners

That's it for now. Always looking for more stuff to do.

Been waiting awhile for a thread for Altitudes. They all look great! Hope it keeps going.

Removing Altitude Plastic

Altitude Owners,

Great pictures everyone of the Altitudes. Worked with a friend of mine today and removed the plastic handles and hood latches with Rampage replacements. Also had the plastic side rails removed - thinking I like the look.

Would like to replace the plastic side mirrors with same style but in black metal - does anybody know if these are available.

Thanks.....

The tires are 285/70/17 mud terrains. I don't have a lift or spacers yet.....thinking about doing a front leveling kit to get rid of that stupid raked look

Thought you guys would like to check out the new bumper. It's the Rampage Recovery Bumper in semi gloss black. I think I looked at every bumper available before settling on this one and I'm stoked with how it looks

Easy. Most of the posts I read said it required 2 people but I did it myself in a couple of hours. You'll need a sawsall if you want to keep the plastic guard that goes between the bumper and the grille as a couple of notches need to be marked and cut out where the bumper makes contact.
