Did you notice gas mileage issues after installation? Wasn't really paying attention prior to adding the front/back bumpers + winch, but ride and gas mileage suffered.

Looks great, how about some details...tire size, brand, any lift, spacers or rub?

I really like the lift, which TF model number is that? Do you wish you would have gone 3" vs. 2.5" I have the same exact tires on stock Sahara rims.

Thanks!

Picked this baby up two weeks ago. Mods so far: 2.5" Teraflex Coil Lift, 295/70R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers (w/ 1.25" spacers... love these Altitude rims too much to replace them). Smittybuilt tire carrier. Tinted windows. Just plasti-dipped the door locks and antenna but haven't taken pics of that yet.

Is the After Picture prior to the Lift? Not much room for the Nitto's to Flex, if you have the lift in the picture. Post #61 in this same thread has the same setup and there is quite a bit more room for the tires to move.

295/70R18, Trail Grapplers, no lift, no spacers, but there's a plan
I'm deployed and my wife took it in to get the tires, now I'm working on purchasing all of the mods, bumper, winch, lift, etc so I can start putting her together when I get home.
Looking at the 1251000 TF 2.5" Lift, I also purchased 1.5" wheel spacers.

My new Altitude!

I've had my new Altitude for a couple weeks now. I've asked some questions in other threads, but haven't really posted any pics yet. It's about time I post something in the Altitude thread! So here she is!

P/N TER1352000 according to 4wd.com. It's actually 3" up front and 2" in the back, so 2.5" average (it levels out the Jeep). I personally would not have gone with anything bigger. It's already big enough that my girlfriend has a hard time getting in and out of it

FYI, little passenger seats offer black leather with the red stiching to match the Altitude interior, both single and bench seats.

Hey guys, I was thinking of ordering some Altitude decals from pixel decals. Just wanted to get some opinions on which colour to get. It'll be going on my black Altitude, pics in this thread a few posts up. First, does anyone know which colour matches the Wrangler decal? It doesn't quite look white, a bit grey. The light grey colour maybe? Also, what about black/matte black/reflective black on the black Jeep? Do you think the black on black thing would look good? My Altitude's already got kind of a black on black thing going on so it might be cool. Anyone got any pics?

I think it is the light gray option on PixelDecal. I'm looking to purchase a set for mine as well.

Get the reflective regardless of color. It's really trick looking. I personally think the reflective black on black would look cool. My pics are posted earlier in the thread of the reflective black.

Glad to see i'm not the only one when it comes to 2nd guessing. I think there are just so many options to choose from that it becomes harder to lock in your decision?

On a different note, I'm learning more and more about the Altitudes as I go along. So when I installed a heavy front bumper, a winch and a heavy rear bumper some months back, it increased the rake and compressed the springs further, as expected. Now that I'm getting new tires and a leveling kit, I was curious if the springs off of my buddy's Rubi would make any difference. Researching on here, I found that springs vary from vehicle to vehicle. If you look on the springs, you'll see a tag, with the last 2 digits being the focus. It seems like JKs run 14-19 for the front and 55-60 for the rear, with the combos seeming to run 18/59 for the tow package, 17/58 for some of the newer ones, with the higher the number = stiffer and less sag. Well, thinking that the Altitudes seemed to have a more aggressive rake than the others, I checked mine. Sure enough I'm sitting at 16/58, and looking at the compression on the front spring after adding serious weight, it's screaming change me out!

So my i'm taking my buddy's 18/59s and swapping them in. Of course I'll be doing that with a leveling kit as well, so we'll see what the ultimate lift ends up being. But just any FYI for us Altitude owners is that if you plan on adding weight to the front, you might want to check the springs to see what you have first. It definitely isn't unbearable, but definitely felt a noticeable change in the ride when adding the weight, and it might have helped at the time to swap out the springs for cheap (CL seems to have some always for sale).

Found out that the lift kit wasn't going to be in this weekend, and since i'd already found a buyer for the old wheels, decided to throw on the new ones early! 305/70/16 Duratracs on MB72s. Love the look, will only be better when I add the springs and the leveling kit, especially the wider stance!

How does the ride differ? Mileage and such? What gears you got?

Colored bumper inserts, colored fenders and colored hard top? Dang, I wish the dealer I went to had one in stock. It would've been a done deal.

@DeepJeep - ride definitely is rougher, but almost has seemed to tame down between installing them yesterday and today. However, the wheels came inflated at 60psi. I dropped them all to 42 and it improved. I'm curious how far down to do since I've read you don't run these at the suggested levels on the door. As for gas, haven't driven it 15 miles since putting them on so I couldn't tell you. Now, I did buy the ProCal and will be adjusting soon. Gears - we're Altitudes, so I think we're all stuck with the 3.21s unless ordered different from the dealer? I know I have limited slip rear differential, but I don't believe I have the 3.76 option on mine? But if it is 3.21, I have an auto and have absolutely no complaints with this new setup and gittyup.

@Chuck - if you're asking about the Altitude rims, I don't believe so. Only seen them in 18s. If you're asking about any of the other aftermarket ones on here, the answer is yes, but depends on which ones.

@legit - I think that may have been what kinda sold many of us on the color keyed components? I would think you might be able to still get the fenders color keyed for not too much?

Installed Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit today. Between kit and changing out springs from 16s/58s to 18s/59s, gained 3" and that's with winch and heavy bumper. I wasn't expecting that much gain though. But overall, I'm extremely pleased, although I was slightly skeptical about the 33s with a 3" gain. And adding the Rubicon shocks seems to have really changed the ride back to near-factory after it had been suffering since adding the winch, bumper and then tires.
