Aluminum climate control knob hot to touch

I replaced the plastic climate control knobs on my 2008 Unlimited with aluminum knobs and noticed a lot of heat buildup on the knob itself after a short drive. I know this sounds odd but it has me a bit concerned. Does anyone have any experience with this type of issue.

Thanks!

Aluminum, by nature, dissipates more heat than plastic. The knob is exposed to heat, and heats up. Ditch the mall-crawler bits, go back to plastic- problem solved
P.S. It'll also get damn cold in winter. Save yourself the freezer burn and ditch them- Mark W.

Good idea tho

Mine got soo cold this winter it snapped in half when I turned it. Going to aluminum wouldn't be a bad idea. So it's not a complete wash why dont you try coating them with something?
