Black wheels look great up close. From a distance they all look the same.

Correct, they are ATX Artillery wheels in Teflon, 17x 8.5 is what I was told when I ordered them.

Those are the MOPAR winter steel wheels painted white. I believe that you have to run them with spacers which I am not a fan of. I do like the white on white look though!

FWIW I am not digging the black wheels anymore either. I did that with my last Jeep. This time I am going silver or white after I lift.

I think black wheel look good on some jeeps but I would never buy a set. Im the kind of person who does not like there ride to not look like everybodys "custom" ride. With the time and money I spend on anything I drive I kinda want it to stand out from the rest. I kinda like people being able to say I saw you in your jeep going down the road today insted of saying I was waving at you in your jeep when I relized it wasnt you but another one that looked just like yours.
Like everone says its all about what you want and what looks good to you. Beleave me I have cought a fair share of hell becouse I have a red jeep with budlight blue fenders on it. HaHa Iv had several people tell me they would look so cool if I painted them black!! So I say to each there own and whatever floats your boat.

By the way I never thouht about the way my wheels would look on my jeep when I bought them. I just wanted a beadlock with countersunk bolts and a 3.5 bs. I dont have a clue what I would have goten If I would have bought a wheel just for looks.

That's why I went with an Orange Crush colored JKU. It's the only one our local dealer has ordered/sold and I have never seen another one in town. Problem is my dad keeps calling me and telling me he knows where I am I guess I will have to be sure and not commit any crimes or do anything I shouldn't.......at least when I drive the Jeep

My other car, unfortunately is very unique for the area I live in so no misbehaving in my Infiniti G35 Coupe.

I just have to be a good girl all the time

Meow, let's get this straight. My local Discount Tire guy is bringing in one American Racing Outlaw I - 15X8 -AR615873 he found in a neighboring town (Pasadena) on Tuesday. Meow, We are going to do a fit-test and I'll photograph it and post. Meow, he says he too believes it will fit.

I called Morris 4X4 and had Bill check out whether this wheel will fit. He called AR and asked them and their answer, according to him was...wait for it...

"Our 15X8 wheels won't fit on a JK...only the 17X9."

Meow, it is hard for me to believe an American wheel company - any American wheel company, won't at least make an attempt to find out what their wheels will fit, especially in the Jeep market, where so many people modify their vehicles.

No wonder this country is losing ground with foreign country companies who will actually go out and see what works, so they can make a profit. Instead, some lazy dude is happy to scrape off his CEO bonuses and ride around in his hand made Italian car thinking he is successful.

I join WATCHTHIS with wanting a unique look, rather than settling for a handful of KNOWN 15X8 wheels that will work. It's a pitifully narrow list and based on what I've learned, if it isn't OEM (IE 17X9) few manufacturers or venders appear to give a rats meow about actually trying to physically see if something will fit.

Meow I'm not bashing anyone who bought an aftermarket wheel from the "approved list". I'm trying to expose these companies who won't take the extra effort to qualify their products, but rely on their spec sheets only.

I'll step off the soapbox for meow.

No. Black wheels are for serious rockcrawling jeeps from 1997 or for ricers. I have had many sets of black wheels in the past but they are too overdone, trendy, and gay now.

Maybe you should have added the use of plastidip and stubby black antennas to this.

I'm with u there. I also don't like seeing "my" Jeep on the road, i don't like the fact that u can't tell your Jeep from others, or any other car. My town in Europe has only 90000 people and i was the only one with a SRT8 Charger there, which was cool. Now some tool bought the same car after seeing me in it (he wouldn't know what Charger is if he hasn't seen mine, people in Europe reffer to it as Mustang anyway) and it did piss me off to be honest. Weird but true, now i hate the copy guy without ever meeting him, oh well, spare parts, hope he's insured! Hehe
