Thanks Jonf, I think your tires are 35 no? Mines are only 33's. I wanted to try and make it look like stock as much as possible, but of course we all know that's not gonna happen.
NO they're 33"s. My lift has the front sitting about 3/4" higher in the front. Just makin sure you didnt have a Teraflex. They are saying its normal. It'll level out when I get my bumper and winch on though so I dont mind. Its not really noticable, just to me.
It all depends on what look you want. My dark green 06 TJ has black teflon chambers on it and looks good and they are easy to keep clean. It has a rugged look.I have a Amber fire 02 TJ with Outlaws on it.Black wouldnt look good on it.If I ever replaced the ones on my green 06 I would go with black again. There is a reason more than half the sets on the market are black they look good and they sell.
Personally I like the look of a blacked out POV whether it be a Jeep, truck, car, etc. I'm not sure why ppl would say it's cheap looking or not different enough to distinguish from other Jeeps due to the blacked out look or black wheels since I've seen plenty of black jeeps that do look different and distinguished and have seen the money put in to there individual setups so I would have to agree to disagree. Anyways, I've never had a blacked out vehicle before or black wheels so my Jeep was definitely the first vehicle I had purchased that actually made me want to black out. It has that distinct military look about it. So if my Jeep Rubi isn't original enough looking due to it's black color and black wheel setup....then.....
I have this that is makes me very distinguisable on the road...
Either way, it's all about what looks good to "YOU". Just my opinion...

Black w/ some chrome looks good on some vehicles but I am not a fan of the total black wheel. I have seen one or two of the total black that does look good. But it boils done to personal prefrence. But I can see doin the total black wheel if you do mostly offroading.
I thought very hard about sticking to silver rims on the silver Jeep (actually like the stock 17" quite a bit, but there are so many stock Wranglers around me that I grew tired of them). I also agree with some that a little silver on black rims looks good, but don't regret my decision to go with the all black Mambas -- lug nuts will stay chrome.
