American made Jeep build

Ok I do my best to buy only American made goods when at all possible. Having said that I have a set of made in China MB TKO on my JK. So in an effort to feel better about the situation I would like to see a list of lift kits ,bumpers ect basically anything to put on a JK but with one condition. It has to be made in USA. From here on out I want to make sure only goods made here go on my JK and at some point I plan to replace the TKO with something made here.
So fire away lets see a list of what you can actually buy for our trusty JK that is made here .

The JK is not exactly the best representation of an "American" vehicle. My '12 JK is only 71% domestic content, and who even owns Jeep now?

My grille inserts were made in the USA - right in my barn.

Yes I know it sux my 13 is 71% as well but I want to do only American made products in the build . I like to think that for every part I buy American made someone out there maybe will keep their job and the money will stay here and help our own economy.

JCR's stuff is all made here in the US. Ace too, I believe. I think Warn's high end winches are US made as well.

It will be hard to find parts that are 100% American made, especially suspensions. However a list of made in USA manufacturers include:
-JCR Offroad
-ACE
-Poison Spyder Customs
-Off Road Evolution
-Genright Offroad
-AtoZ Fab
-River Raider
-Olympic 4x4
-LOD
-Rancho (Suspensions and rockGEAR)
-Expedition One
-Rusty's Offroad
-Shrockworks
-Dynomax (Mufflers)
-Dynatrac Axles
-Nemesis Industries
-AEV (Everything except for the wheels)
-M.O.R.E.
-Tuffy Security
-Rockhard 4x4
-Trek Armor
-Gobi
-Spiderwebshade
-Weathertech & Husky & Quadratec floor liners
-Rock Slide Engineering
-Garvin Wilderness
-JKS

Thats all I got. As for your wheels being foreign, don't feel bad. There are VERY few American made wheels.

No, the companies are based in the US and do their research here but manufacture elsewhere sadly.

Great thread and thank you for the list MudRunner! As far as wheels go:

Trail Ready beadlocks are made in the USA
Centerline wheels are made in the USA as well.

Jeep is owned by Chrysler Group LLC
Who in turn is owned by Fiat.
Who BTW also owns Ferrari.
71% is pretty high for US content in cars.

I thought they're wheels where made in Detroit along with hoods and bumpers?

I called Warn 3 different times and talked to 3 different people before I bought it. All had the same answer, the Warn Elite Front bumper was US made. Hopefully I wasn't lied to 3 different times, as it was a big part of my purchase decision.

AEV wheels are China made. It says it right there on their website with an explanation. Still great wheels. I think BMF makes US made wheels for a JK, but they only have 2 styles available. They are also ~$350 per wheel.

Add to the list, the only D-shackles I could find that were US made were Crosby's.

unfortunately the wheels are made in China. They are cool people they have a shop in Detroit and one about 5 minutes from me in Missoula. Very cool stuff but spendy. I was there yesterday and they gave me a brand new take off bumper that they just replaced with one of their own.

Check out both Metalcloak and TnTcustoms.com. T&T (their real name, not TNT actually) manufacturers their own lifts in Wyoming. Their website is really out of date and dated looking, and their lifts aren't even on there. However it is top notch and their owner Bob is a geometry genius from what I have seen. Do a search on the web for "Rex", a 4 door on 43s with only around 3.5 or 4 inches of lift. His stuff is pretty advanced but you can get an idea of their work and see the suspension in action.

I love this thread. Just got my 07' JKUR about 2 months ago. Got Rugged Ridge grab handles made in China. Quadratec floor line made in U.S.A. Also Like Skid Row Products all Made U.S.A. I am going to try to keep it that way from here on out.

For Teraflex, I called them when I was looking for lifts and some of their parts are made in the USA (for example their speed bumps) but some aren't (for example coils). As for Rock Krawler I was mistaken, the majority of their parts are made in the USA, for some reason when I saw Rock Krawler my brain immediately thought Rough Country, I don't know why as they are not related, which is not made in the US. Thanks for getting that cleared up.

I was going to ask the same question about Rock Krawler as I thought they did a fair bit of work in house and with suppliers here in the States. Thanks for clearing that one up

I still don't understand why so many people fall for the "buy American" fallacy. I prefer to buy the best product for the best price no matter where it's made.

Bangledesh's gov't recognizing their people's human rights has nothing to do with "buy American" and it's effects on either country's economies.
