Do I see a Samuel L Jackson sequel coming? "Snakes in a Jeep"?

Check the backing plate between the rotor and axel. Have someone rock the Jeep left and right while you and under. Hold plate. If noise goes away, there is the issue

I also had a funny rattle in the rear of my hard top. It was the cover to the rear wiper motor that had popped loose.

Also check the heat shield over the fuel tank. They're prone to rattling. If that's what it is the metal is soft and can be slightly bent so it doesn't hit the frame. The edges on it are sharp.

This is like Pesci in Goodfellas, better pull over and check on Batts.

First, add a couple wraps of electrical tape to the swing gate striker. Also, adjust your swing gate striker (silver latch). Just loosen the striker and push it towards the front of the Jeep just enough so that when the swing gate closes it is snug against the weather stripping of the tub and this should solve your rattling issues.

I'm having the same problem! I also have a 2011 hardtop Jeep Wrangler. This is my first vehicle so I know nothing about them either haha. I know it's not the top for sure because it's been taken off and put back on a few times. So what's a tire jack?
