You guys know what Jeep should do??

They should start painting their regular stock wheels with different colors--black, grey, part black/silver, etc.--and then calling them "special edition" wheels. Isn't that a great idea? Why, the general public wouldn't even realize that it's the same stuff, just with paint on it!!

Oh, wait . . . .

And guys who say their dealer gave them a "great deal" to upgrade to the "basketball wheels"--only $1500 for the set of five!!

And don't forget the guys selling their "basketball wheels" looking to get an even $1000 on those highly desirable and rare wheels . . . .

Actually one of our clients who now is one of the higher ups at mopar asked us our opinion on the accessory wheels from Mopar. We told him way too much money and why not have the option for powdercoated wheels. We powdercoat wheels here and they sell constantly. Told him the factory should have it as an option.

I think powdercoated wheels would be a cash cow...tons of threads on painting wheels black, plasti-dip, etc.

I'm gonna hide under a chair here, but I think special editions of any vehicle are lame, especially if they don't offer anything over that of a basic model except for an added cost.

Take the MW3 for example, and yes, I know this special edition does have some nice upgrades; I LOVE it. It's AWESOME, and so are the upgrades...without the ties to a video game. At $45,000, that vehicle is far from cheap. I just can't wrap my head around why ANYONE with $45,000 wants hokey video game graphics or badges on his/her Jeep.

Had I $45,000 and was in the market for a Jeep, I may look at it, and may even buy it, but EVERYTHING related to a silly video game would be GONE.

I can't imagine the profit margin Chrysler gets on that thing, or for Wranglers in general. There is nothing to 'em! 45k...for what!?

I'm going to go home and paint my wife's center bumper covers white. Better than the silver on the stock Sahara. Also, I would like the black trim bezels for my black Jeep.

It wasn't meant to make sense, so I guess it worked

Personally, I think it looks Sahara-sh fine. Not for me, but not a horrible idea either.

I like it, we want the colored top and leather seats any way so we add black rims which we wanted with the fuel door and blacked out emblems and interior for basically nothing. Tying it in to USA basketball is a little far fetched but whatever.

Those tires are wiggidy, wiggidy, wack.

Otherwise, it looks strangely like a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to me.
