Seems like a good deal to me if you were already going to buy a Sahara with body color top and leather seats?

If you like it buy it, who cares what other people think!

Another attempt to show the "lava flow" on the hood decal.

I like the black. It subitlizes the hood decal and bumpers. Plus, red accents (like the seat stiching) look great with black.

I dunno, after giving it much thought, I kinda like it. The wheels look good and I'd love to see that red color in person. I wonder if the Altitude package is available on the Rubicon...

I do like the interior appointments; the stickers on the hood, not so much...

LOL, not so much anymore, but back in the early 90's (in high school) I was. Saw the Dead live 6 times before Jerry died. Named my 91 YJ Cosmic Charlie, hence my screen name. You?

You likely have seen it already. It's the same dark red that's available on all 2012 Wranglers; though in some of the promo photos, it does look much different. I'd never seriously considered that color until seeing it on the Altitude Edition. I think it looks especially good with the bumper inserts and blacked out trim.

Must be the lighting in the photos, because it looked like a different colored red.

I do like the blacked out trim and bumper inserts.

Yea, I just can't get into this one. The basketball connection is very lame for a Wrangler, and this edition is going further toward the "mall crawler" edition than any before it. Just not smart when one considers Jeep's true off-road heritage.

Hmmm more mall crawler than 18in Polished Aluminum wheels? Its still TRAIL RATED, and has black simulated headlocks.
