I'll most likely leave mine stock, unless I fabricate a turbo setup. Although, I've put a Borla on just about every vehicle I've owned.

If they were unequal lengths, the exhaust pulses would be out of sync and scavenging would not occur. It counterintuitively improves exhaust flow. There's no need to straighten the exhaust on that side, and doing so will most likely decrease power, albeit slightly.
I'm fairly new to my JK and exhausts in general...will a catback exhaust kit cut this loop out (which we obviously don't want to do)?

The ECM will adjust fine for any intake/exhaust upgrades on these engines, and maybe about a 10 HP gain with both. Not worth the $ IMO except for the better sound.

well, I mean if someone is looking to exhaust for hp or tq, they won't find a real change if they don't also do an ecu flash. I feel that exhaust only is really only for a nice look and sound.

Agree'd for sound, but the stock ecm is capable of making AFR adjustments on it's own for the increased flow based on feedback from the stock O2 sensors. Buying a flash tuner for a V6 would be a waste of $ IMO, if one was even available for the 3.6
