I removed the 'sport' 'wrangler' and 'unlimited' stickers, and added 'Jeep' lettering meant for a TJ.

I am de-badging mine tonight. Using the good ol' hair dryer, goo gone and a plastic scraper to get the peeling started.

I also have a bottle of wax and a microfiber cloth to clean it up afterwards. Ill toss some pics up tonight when I am finished!

I removed the X package decals. Why do i want a decal to remind everyone that i got the cheap base model jeep? Now it just says "WRANGLER" on the sides. And jeep on the front. And the steering wheel is really bugging the hell out of me. Did they think i'd forget i was driving a jeep?

Anyway just let it sit in the hot sun all day. The decals will soften a little, put a finger nail under them. A little goo gone and clay bar and then wax it to protect the paint afterwards.

Trail rated badge is important.

I want to get two large, bright red stickers that read "Sticker Goes Here" and put them on my new black JK. One on each side should do it.

I'm thinking about removing my Sport decal, just because "Sport Wrangler Unlimited" is too much of a mouthful. Maybe if they had put the "Sport" below the other decals I wouldn't mind it so much

Where did you get the Maryland Flag Jeep sticker? I love that! I am from MD and those would go great with my Univeristy of MD spare tire cover

I took all that junk off mine too. One of the first things I did to it. Grill too.

I got rid of the "sahara", "unlimited" and "wrangler" tonight. Too dark to get a good picture. Will post tomorrow.

I am glad everyone does something different. Jeeps are about personalizing them. I love the trail rated badge and will never remove (I think it helps me think I am a bad a$@ -LOL). The wrangler decal writing brings me back to my younger days staring at wranglers wishing I had one. The Sahara and mountain sticker also give me happy thoughts. I added the flag on each side. I added the orange jeep wave to my back bumper and will add my jeep club sticker soon!

I took off the Wrangler and Unlimited stickers and Plasti-dipped the Trail Rated and Call Of Duty badges. And swapped out the silver Jeep grille logo for a black one.

I have a racing background and think I am going to remove the side stickers and replace with "Sponsors Wanted" decal in the same font. These damn Jeeps are so addictive and I have a hard time leaving anything alone!!

Like the Clean Look

I bought a 2013 Oscar Mike version of the JKU. I know some Oscar Mike owners love the big star on the hood and the smaller ones they put on others places but I don't. I didn't buy that model for the decals, I liked all the other stuff it came with. The very first day I had it, I got out the hairdryer, peeled the decals off, cleaned it with Acetone, and polished it. I never have liked any kind of decals.

It is a shame that one could not just get the decals thrown in the back rather than installed. My uncle had a 1982 Camaro INDY 500 pace car replica, decals never were installed.

I like the stickers that the manufacturers and vendors send when you buy goodies from them, but they go on my toolboxes rather than the Jeep.

The one sticker I really loved on Jeeps was the Yeti footprint on the Arctic Editions. In fact I loved everything about those. But since I ended up with a Call Of Duty instead I thought about getting an Army boot print sticker for mine to mimic the Yeti.

Debadge acquired! Thanks for the idea. Now the question is do I want to remove the trail badge and front jeep emblem or not. Thoughts?
