Any experience with european diesel JK?

I looked but didn't see anyone's impressions of the 2.8 crd diesel available in Europe.
How does it perform? Could you bring one to the US or would there be emission issues.

Don't have a complete memory of word for word in that thread but if what your looking for is not in there specifically, ask you question in there and you should get a good anwser or two from a CRD owner. There a a few aussies and one gentelman from the UK who watch that thread.
Of course Im sure if any of them see this thread they will anwser you question here I just know that if you put your question in that thread as well you double your chance of getting anwsers

That CRD engine looks more natural and at home in that engine bay than the 3.8L or 3.6L petrol engines do.

I know people do run bigger then 33's in Aussie but Im guessing the laws are different to that in each province (state?). Or maybe there just risking a ticket.. Im no sure, but I've seen 35's on a JKU in im not sure what part of aussie. Might have been the melbourne area

Send a message via Skype™ to Dogface
Likely will NEVER be available in the People's Republik of Kalifornia

Can't even buy a VW diesel here.

I also have a CRD and love it. Bucket loads of torque for pulling power, 400 miles per tank of diesel, no need to shift down when climbing any gradient. What's not to like about it?

Mines a daily driver and makes me smile every mile.

Anything specifically you want to know, ask away and I'll do my best to answer it.

Well at least we can keep pointy knives in our Jeeps without our government getting all butthurt.

At least this week. Next week, who knows.

You might find the red tape that you have to go through overwhelming and costly. I had a co worker that wanted to bring a VW Polo TDI back from Canada (as Polos are not available in the U.S.), after he did the research it was going to cost way more than it was worth to him (He went with a stateside Golf TDI instead). Good luck though and enjoy a Wrangler CRD while you can!
