Was your jeep new or used when you bought it? It doesn't look factory, but if you bought it new then it has to be and is most likely a fuel pump reset in case of an accident. If you bought it used then I'd guess it was for something else that the previous owner probably took off

Jeeeeeeez ya Shouldn't of done that!!!!!....I think you started the self destruct sequence...luckily 4 you it takes about 8 or 9 years for the sequence to complete... and the Jeeps wheels to finely shake off....

It's the passenger ejection seat or smoke screen; don't remember.

Beats me ! I was going to say maybe it is like a valet switch for the alarm. But that would be in all Wranglers. I have a 2012 and did not notice anything like this in mine. Are u in the US ? Could be a european thing safety standard etc..

Looking at the interior in the picture, '11 or newer. It's not stock.

Did you have an aftermarket alarm system installed?

Looks like an aftermarket valet switch for the alarm, but you said it's a new Jeep...? I would want to ask your dealer about that one...is it possible the dealer added something prior to selling it to you? Is it possible the dealer sold you a used Jeep as new...? Don't want to be a negative-Nancy, but ya never know with some of these dealerships. I wouldn't put anything past them.
