Any issues taking only front doors off?

I dunno why there would be, but I've got a 2-year-old and 3-month-old, so I can't take off the back doors. Anyone do/see this?

Thanks,
S

Cool- for some reason nothing came up on my first search, but it did on the second.

Thanks!

That "girlfriend" looks like she's gonna be a jeep owner pretty soon.

The first time I had taken off the doors, I took off all 4. Now I just do the 2 front. I think it looks cool.

I think JKUs don't look right unless all four are off.

What do the kids have anything to do with taking the doors off? If you're worried use both the LATCH and seatbelt to secure the car seats and buckle the kids in as normal. My 2 year old loves it -- she can see so much more when it's opened up and constantly tells me to "turn it [the radio] up louder".

My sons(almost 4 almost 2) love the open air as well, but their are a few advantages to keeping the doors on the rear for them.

1. Limits the chances of a hotwheels car or sippy cup "accidentally" flying out of my jeep.

2. When driving through tighter trails I don't worry about branches smacking them around.

3. My wife feels the kids are safer with doors back there. Not ever worth the argument that it makes little difference. I just surrender and put the doors back on. (when she knows about it)

That being said, I love the look of no doors in front and half doors in the rear with the seats folded down like Gonzo's. It makes it look like a bad ass little truck.

Thats pretty much why I leave the back doors on too. Hats and shoes can be more easily contained inside the jeep going down the road with the door on. Baby still loves it though. Shes just 1 and shes always laughing away on the way to and from daycare with the wind blowing through her hair

it has happened. lots of people just drive with that window up. if you get a good side wind. its rare but the possibility exists.

No issues. People do it all the time. Keeps pets, people, gear etc behind doors when wanted, needed or required : )
