Any other 2013 JK Owners notice this

So I picked up my 2013 last week. In the last 2 weeks I've probably had at LEAST a dozen people say "Damn nice wheels". Most don't know that those are stock and look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I had plans to replace them.

Granted none of these people are "jeep people". We all know that wheels are the first to go, but I have to be honest. I always thought the 2013 stock wheels were pretty decent and a nice change from 2012. I look at them (especially on my black Rubi) and think they look pretty darn nice. Sometimes I think it would be a waste to get different rims. I wouldn't mind larger tires for offroad but the rims themselves look pretty good.

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, every day my employees say I'm great... behind my back I find they think the contrary. Bitter pill to swallow.

I always felt that, replacing new parts with new parts ,was a waste of money.I know this is the jeep world, but still.

I have a 2012 rubicon, I think the new rims on the 13 are excellent.I wouldn't replace them ,unless they are just downright inadequate for the lifestyle your going to engage in.

If the stock wheels had a little less backspacing, I would never even consider replacing them. The 6" of BS is just that....BS.

I've had a lot of compliments as well. I hated them when I first saw them in pictures, but after seeing them in person, I'm really starting to like them. Pictures seem to really accentuate the lighter trim in the wheel which I didn't like, but it appears darker in person.

I hate the new Rubi wheels, liked the 12's MUCH better. If I had ordered a '13 Rubi instead of a Sport S, I'd already have new wheels at my house waiting to be installed!

I personally think that rockstars....and the other black wheels....are hideous. Why change things, just because they came from the factory like that??? It seems extravagant to me, and very quirky.

I get a lot of complements in person here and there and at Jeep hang outs...Suds and Grub and so on. Some will say "Wow...they look so much better in person". But on line I get mostly the *Haters* .......Sad. Oh well, can't win all the time.....LOL

I had a conversation with someone about the new wheels on the 13s when I was waiting on my 12 Rubi at the dealership's shop a few weeks back. Whomever said it's a love-em-or-hate-em thing was right.

The person I was talking to LOVED the new wheels. Personally, although they're nice enough, I don't care for them. They're kind of "busy" for my tastes, but to each their own.

Of course, they may grow on me as I see more and more of them on the street or trail.

But they're YOUR wheels, so it's only important whether YOU like them, IMO. And if you don't, I would bet that there are lots of folks that would pay very good money (above and beyond takeoffs from a 12 Rubi) to get their hands on your take-offs.

I am convinced that most of the internet haters are people that have not seen these in person. I agree with the earlier post that they look a little off in pictures. They are too light and they almost look cheap. In person, completely different story. They are pretty slick. I agree that I will be bummed to have to sell them when I get 35s. I am driving a gecko green with matching top, so if someone is offended by my wheels, then...

LOL!
